I’ve stayed in many different places around the UK, and this is - by far - the best. Everything from communication from the host, the cleanliness of entire property, the privacy and beauty of the area/garden was first class. I can see how the location would be difficult to find, but Caroline’s instructions were very clear and she was always on hand to help if needed. Once you enter the property, you’re hit with a phenomenal smell. Diffusers are used in every room, and it’s a touch not many places offer - so was very appreciated. The building is old, but modern. It’s been renovated incredibly, without losing its authenticity. Garden was great. Open fire, with wood and supplies given, was a lovely touch. So many small touches that often go unnoticed, and very rarely seen, on offer too. (milk in fridge, for example). I seriously cannot find enough superlatives for the property or the host. Absolutely incredible. Will definitely book again, any time I need to return to Yorkshire.

Well the garden is looking fabulous, the hedges have been cut and the lawn is mowed ready for this weekends bridal party and pre-wedding photos in this beautiful setting. 👰🏼‍♀️💍💒

We are lucky at The Swanky Farmhouse to have English Bluebells in our garden which transform the boarders into a delicate sea of blue. Almost half the world's bluebells are found in the UK and they are relatively rare elsewhere.
It's against the law to intentionally pick, uproot or destroy Bluebells indeed they have held a treasured place in the hearts of British people for centuries and have been an inspiration to poets and writers such as Oscar Wilde, Emily and Anne Brontë, Gerard Manley Hopkins and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
