One of our most favourite peaceful walks. Whitebrook, Forest of Dean. So much history & wildlife in the valley AND we’ve not fallen in as yet!

We’ve additional guests at the holiday cottage.
One of the last lovely things Dad did was to make me some bird boxes. He’d have been so pleased to see the Great T**s have moved into the birdbox on the old Perry Pear Tree.
Sound up & you can hear the youngsters.
This makes me smile.

Tomorrows job is to check the fencing in the field in front of the holiday cottage…
….but to be fair, they’ve done a very good job of ploughing/aerating the mossy end of the field!

No birds this year (we put it up rather late) but we love it nestled in the ivy on a tree trunk.

Save Geronimo - Stop killing healthy alpacas without valid science

If you’ve stayed at Perry Pear you will have met our lovely gentle alpaca boys.
Today we’re asking that you take some time to read Geronimo’s story and to help where you can.
Geronimo lives with Helen and she is the person that first introduced us to alpacas and gave us our initial training many years ago.

🖤💜 Hello everyone, Geronimo here 💜🖤

It’s proper hot in the UK again today! 🥵🥵
I am quite enjoying this heat actually but am spending most of my time in the shade of the barn during the day. I eat plenty of hay & I get to stock up on grass in the evenings though 😉

Mr Eustice thinks, because his officials told him so, that I have had a progressive wasting disease for over 6 yrs 😱😳. Even if they had any evidence at all that I caught it in NZ (which they definitely don’t) I would have died years ago and spread disease to my mates (we are in spitting distance after all). I would certainly not cope well with this weather that’s for sure 🥵

My expert vet says I am very super well, and fat! The ‘officials’ removed from their website in 2019 the only bits of paper they used to claim us healthy camelids have to have tuberculin injections before an antibody test. They still don’t have any data whatsoever and don’t seem to want to get it either. Wonder why?

This kind of makes the whole thing about killing me a bit null and void wouldn’t you say? Review my case please Mr Eustice.
