Alternatively, a similar length of walk in the opposite direction will bring you to the town's colourful Station Park with gardens, boating pond and putting green. r valleys meet below the "Devils Beef Tub" - a stay here is a must. The main A701 tourist route to the capital city of Edinburgh passes through the attractive double carriageway High Street. Situated only minutes from the M74 running from Carlisle (and connecting to the M6) in the South and to Glasgow in the North. The apartment's bedroom can be configured as a double bed or two single beds. The living room hosts a deluxe sofa bed to sleep a further two guests, when required. A remote control flat screen TV with digital TV channels and DVD player are also installed. Apartment is fully furnished with bed linen, towels and all kitchen crockery, utensils and cutlery.

At last.. Moffat gets new Electric Car Charging Stations. There are 4 new chargers in Station Car Park. Provided courtesy of D&G Council and manged by ChargePlace Scotland. They have not appeared in ZapMap yet, but there are working. Plug in and go explore Moffat, just a mile or so off the M74 at Junction 15. There are great cafes and pubs serving food.

Moffat Classic Car Rally, 2023 - the direction of travel on the Saturday, the 24th of June, will be the same as last year: Beef Tub, Tala, Megget and back to Moffat on the A708.

Moffat is the ideal hub for a holiday in the south of Scotland, so there are plenty of suggestions for places to visit if you are staying for a few days.

Within easy driving distances of the town, there are St Mary's Loch, Megget and Talla Reservoirs and the famous Devil's Beef Tub (known as the Three Lochs Run, even though two of them are reservoirs); Craigieburn Garden and Nurseries (less than 10 minutes’ drive); the Grey Mare's Tail (just over 20 minutes); Traquair – the oldest inhabited house in Scotland (under an hour); Abbotsford - home of Sir Walter Scott (just over an hour); Melrose Abbey (just over an hour); Dawyck Botanical Gardens (around 40 minutes); Rosslyn Chapel (just over an hour); Wanlockhead - the highest village in Scotland - and its mining Museum (about 35 minutes); Drumlanrig Castle (around 45 minutes); Castle Loch and Lochmaben Castle (less than 30 minutes); the very moving Lockerbie Garden of Remembrance and Air Disaster Memorial (just over 20 minutes); Dumfries and many memories of Robbie Burns (about 35 minutes); the Dumfries Air Museum (about 30 minutes); Dalscone Farm and Indoor Soft Play Centre, Dumfries (about 30 minutes); Kagyu Samye Ling Tibetan Buddhist Monastery & Centre for World Peace and Health (about 35 minutes); The Devil's Porridge Museum (about 35 minutes); Caerlaverock Castle (less than an hour); the beaches of Costa Colvend – the Secret Coast (about an hour); and, of course, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
