Another gorgeous day in the Wye Valley National Landscape and Tintern is looking amazing! The sun has got his hat on, the playground and riverbank walks are open and the pubs and cafes are looking forward to welcoming you! The Wye Valley Sculpture Garden, Tintern is open this afternoon offering a wonderful place to relax! . See you soon ( and dont forget your own hat!)

Phew its warm ( at last!) in Tintern today. Dont forget to keep dogs cool and off hot pavements. Several places in the village have water bowls and even dog ice creams to enjoy and the riverbank is a great place to walk! You can go along to Old Station Tintern from the village, have a coffee and a cake and return in the cool too!

Change to visits of the Fish and Chip van that comes to Tintern.

Greatly improved weather this week plus the Wye Valley Greenway is again fully open for both walkers and cyclists so how about a trip to Tintern!
Its about 5 miles along the Greenway ( Start near WyeDean School and plase park very considerately) and if its too far to make the return trip you could walk one way and take the 69 bus the other. Tintern has lots of options for refreshments too!
Coffee? Burger? Cake? Cream tea at Abbey Mill Tintern ? Pub lunch @ The Wye Valley Hotel? ? Sunday roast at THE ANCHOR INN?

An easy distance from the Bridge over the River Wye at Tintern find the Wye Valley Sculpture Garden, Tintern which is open on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons so you could make a whole day out of it!

Cant choose? what to do ? Come again!

The Old Station has organised nature-based children's activity sessions throughout the holidays with its newly recruited play volunteer. There is a booking page to book slots at https://www.visitmonmouthshire.com/.../old-station...

Its today! Hurry along to the Tintern Local Produce Market in the Village Hall from 10-2 today. There is a whole raft of producers waiting with gorgeous things- including a new cheese stall!

Its busy in Tintern tonight as the excellent Folk On The Lawn festival continues to entertain at Abbey Mill Tintern ( Free but donations welcomed) and the wonderfully funny Wicked movie "Wicked Little Letters" with Olivia Colman is showing at the Village Hall.
Tickets are available at the door ( card payments please) Refreshments on sale include coffee, tea, biscuits and Brookes Ice Cream. You are also welcome to bring your own wine, other drinks, and snacks.! Starts 7.45. More details here https://www.tinternvillage.co.uk/Village_Groups/films/

If you are looking for parking dont forget there is free parking convenient for both of these great events at the Wireworks car park in Forge Road ( behind the Wild Hare/Royal George) or the more energetic can park at Old Station Tintern which is a 10 minute level walk away.
