Resilient Lady Day 2

Today was our day at sea so I got up bright and early for a gym session (who am I!) and then a lovely breakfast at the Galley.
We were all so impressed with this area. Lots of different food stations all prepared fresh for you and plated in front of you. You can also order from your table if you would prefer.

Next up we decided to have a game of bingo- because why not! We didn’t win but we had so much fun!

We then spent the rest of the day chilling around the pool and on our balcony.

Tonight’s meal was at Gunbae, a Korean themed restaurant. If you are in a smaller party then you will share a table so we had another family of 3 with us. You do a drinking game to break the ice! The food is then cooked in front of you.

This evening it was the famous Scarlet night when everyone dresses in red (including the ship). The pool party was so much fun. I’ll be honest- I was a bit worried about what to expect- but truthfully it was grown adults from all ages just having a good time.
Throughout the whole cruise I really noticed the range of ages. There isn’t a typical Virgin cruiser- you can be anyone!

We then saw the early hours in the Manor before making our way to bed (via the Pizza place) 🍕

Resilient Lady Day 1

We left Wigan at 8am and arrived into Portsmouth around 3pm. We had a 3.45 port arrival time and when we arrived our group had already been called onboard so we were able to go straight to the ship. It does always nerve me driving down on the day of a cruise!

Once onboard we headed straight to the cabin. We were in 13282A and it was in the perfect location for the forward lifts.

Honest review, I don’t recommend the 3 birth cabin layout we were in. This was ok for a short cruise but for a longer voyage the bunk bed would become an issue for 3 adults. None of us really wanted to sleep up there!

The sail way party was so much fun! We watched down from deck 16 sipping on the complimentary Prosecco and then went back to our cabin to watch us sail away from Portsmouth 🥂

Our first restaurant of the trip was Extra Virgin which is an Italian. The food was incredible and our server was just amazing!

After our meal we headed to the roundabout to listen to some music and enjoyed a couple more drinks before heading to bed.

There was so much going on but with the long journey of the day we all just wanted to get to sleep!
