A slightly belated Happy New Year to you all!!

The beaches are empty at this time of year (even emptier than usual). You might even catch a wonderful sunrise and the aurora was out playing again last night.

Wonderful walk from low Newton towards Beadnell this morning! It was a tad cool and windy but still stunning.

Northumberland is gorgeous at all times of the year so after the Christmas celebrations are over why not treat yourself to a short break while the beaches are totally empty (not that they are that busy in the summer).

We would thoroughly recommend a visit to Jaspers Bistro when you visit.

The service was perfect, the food and cocktails amazing.

It’s only small, 5 tables but there is nothing I would change. It even allows well behaved dogs!

We have just change our usual coffee from Mocha Mondo to the RNLI lifeboat blend in support of all the time they spend volunteering to keep us all safe at sea. We regularly see them out on excercise and more serious situations up and down the coast.

Cross House Cottages would like to wish all our visitors a very happy new year.

With major recent refurbishment to our apartment (check out one of our photos below) and a lovely spruce up for our studio we are ready to welcome you in 2024.

We are dog friendly (up to 2 medium sized dogs) and allow bookings that are a minimum of 3 nights so there is no excuse not to treat yourselves to a little (or longer) break away.
