Model Buildings in sits between the United Reformed Church and the river Coquet in the centre of the Village. Originally built as state of the art workers houses in the 1890’s by Lord Armstrong of the NT Cragside Estate, it is now home to some beautiful holiday accommodation. An early morning walk yesterday, to one of my favourite spots for sunrise was rewarded with a this beautiful scene.

A swan resting in a tidal pool in Embleton Bay, with Dunstanburgh Castle as a silhouetted backdrop 🦢 🏰 ☀️

This little part of the coastline is shaped differently every few days by the incoming and outgoing tides, and always provides something new.

In our last video from our latest visit to Wallington NT we explore inside the house. Dating from 1688, Wallington Hall was home to many generations of the Blackett and Trevelyan families, who all left their mark. The result is an impressive, yet friendly, house with a magnificent interior and fine collections and curiosities. The remarkable Pre-Raphaelite central hall was decorated to look like an Italian courtyard and features a series of paintings of Northumbrian history by William Bell Scott.

It is set in the attractive Village of West Thirston in the heart of rural Northumberland (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
