Holy Island which is accessed by this causeway .. one of the beautiful places to visit while staying. Always be sure of the tide times though!!

The end of the road.

Twice daily North Sea tides sweep across Holy Island’s 3-mile-long causeway, submerging the road and your safe passage to the island.

Always adhere to the safe crossing times listed on boards either side of the causeway before making your journey.

Hexham was voted the happiest place to live for the second year running. If you would like to visit before moving here… our place, The Candlemakers is just through that gap in the buildings and you will be at the centre of one of the most beautiful market towns in the country.
