I think I preferred it when instagram was about sharing beautiful photos and seeing posts from like minded people and friends.

I’m not sure what the business model is now or how the bots and algorithms are truly helping small businesses, but I feel we are all being corralled into paid advertising to be discovered. It’s losing the essence of what it was about and that’s community.

Anyway I thought I’d share this lovely photo of our beach garden and the sea view. My carpenter friend Steve made this beautiful oak alfresco dining bench, which has so far withstood 12 Norfolk winters. It’s a bit battered and rough round the edges but looks better than ever 😀.

I must admit I’m not a huge fan of too many pillows on a bed. But two decorative pillows do give a room a pop of colour, I just hate the thought of these stunning Uzbek embroidery cushions ending up on the floor, so I think two is perfect!

The beach garden at Meadow House. This part of the garden was inspired by the garden art of a home in Overstrand. We used over a 100 to build it and a good friend built me this incredible oak table that has weathered so well. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining for 14 with a sea breeze here.

Both houses under the NBH banner face the sea, have incredible sea views, beach access, large gardens, off-road parking and hot tubs. We have provided everything we think you’ll need for a terrific seaside holiday summer or winter including wet suits and wellies. If it’s not there, tell us and we’ll buy it!

Meadow House is a stunning Georgian house with Flemish design influences and is packed with art and antiques. It features 7 bedrooms, 3 sitting rooms and a large kitchen diner. The house has a large secluded garden with a commanding view of the sea and beach access right outside the gate and down the beach bath. The village is just a few minutes walk away..

Admiral House is an early Victorian house right on the beach with it’s own private path onto the beach and beyond. It was once the Admiral of the coasts house, who would collect taxes from merchants landing goods on the Norfolk coast. It features 6 generous bedrooms, two sitting rooms, a study and a 40ft kitchen. The house has stunning 180 degree sea view and it’s own private path onto the beach.

Mundesley is our little Norfolk secret! It’s got a beautiful blue ribbon sandy beach, golf course, little village shops, pubs and is just 6 miles from the beautiful Norfolk Broads. You can drop a boat or jetski into the water at Sea Palling or Trimingham, or sail on the Norfolk Broads or at Morston.
