Eye Eye! 👀
Manned by volunteers, the Mundesley lookout station overlooks “Devils Throat”. With its treacherous sandbanks there are at least 53 marked wreck sites where vessels have sunk. Thirty metres above the North Sea, the watch room has a visual scope of 180 square miles over the beach and the sea, keeping a look out for those getting into difficulties on the beach and in the water.

As well as the many beaches and coastal paths there are lots of dog-friendly places to visit around North Norfolk. National Trust gardens are great for dogs and Blicking, Felbrigg, Oxburgh and Sheringham Park are well worth a visit as well as Holkham Hall and the Sandringham estate but some other places you might not know about are:
🐾Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, 4 miles of woodland paths to explore. 🌳
🐾Redwings Horse Sanctuary, at this dog-friendly attraction, you can meet horses, ponies and donkeys that have been rehired at this rescue centre. 🐴
🐾Beans seal trips, hop onboard a boat with your dog out to Blakeney Point to see the seal colonies. 🦭
🐾The North Norfolk or Bure Valley railway, scenic steam or diesel, hop on and off 🚂
🐾Broads Tours, take a guided tour on a passenger boat, small charge for your four legged friend. 🛥️

There are so many attractions to visit with kids whilst on holiday in Norfolk, here’s a few favourites that shouldn’t be missed:

🦌Holkham Estate has a brilliant outdoor play area, bike hire, high ropes, tractor tours, lake walks and often lots of other activities on a weekends. Amazing cafe, The Victoria pub and of course the stunning Holkham beach to explore. Dogs welcome apart from in the house.

🧙🏻‍♀️BeWILDerwood - if you have children that love climbing, sliding, treehouses, mazes and storytelling this is the place for you. Take the boat ride in to hear tales of the curious creatures and meet Mildred the Crocklebog. Yummy food available or pack a picnic.

🦕Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure - A full day can be had exploring this amazing park with something for all ages. There’s a huge soft play, animatronic dinosaurs, crazy golf, rides, slides, high wire course, maze, outdoor play, theatre and in the summer a great splash pad to cool down in so pack swim wear. Food outlets as well as plenty of places to picnic.

🎢 Pettitts Animal Adventure – plenty of play time here in this adventure park with outside play area, animals, rides, shows and lots of activities for kids.

🐑 Wroxham Barns - Lambing season is in full swing this Easter, bottle feed lambs and take a look at the rest of the animal residents in the junior farm (watch out for the greedy goats!) before heading for the rides.

🦩Pensthorpe – Well worth the visit for the amazing wildlife, the flamingos are particulary pretty, add to that an amazing indoor and outdoor play area, trails and lots of activities to take part in.
