It could almost be summer except it's freezing! Lovely blue skies and bulbs coming up tell me spring is on the way though!

Could almost be summer! Except it's freeeeezing 🥶. Still looks nice though! And the sky is blue. No filters used here! Spring is starting to peek through, some bulbs coming up, and the camelias are beautiful. We are getting ready for a group arriving tomorrow.

Not just for hens! We have lots of groups of friends that come and stay just for a nice relaxing break by the sea. Glass Painting is something you could arrange for your group for a lovely mindful hour or two.

Day 2 of having a weekend at the house to do 'very important maintenance jobs' and much to Phil's disgust I've spent the day cleaning out the Vintage bar 😄 whilst he laid paving slabs in the rain!! Some people never find out about the secret bar, it's a silly thing, but I love it!

It may be the end of October, but our garden thermometer says it's mid summer here in the garden at Beach House Mundesley! I think it's too small to see but it's registering 25 degrees and it's sunny! I particularly like Autumn sunshine because we aren't really expecting it, so it's a little bonus! I'm sitting outside in the garden in my t-shirt! And best of all, the house has no guests this weekend, (first empty weekend since January I think) so I get to enjoy it all to myself! I hope you get some late sunshine to enjoy too.

I'm just sitting at the kitchen table here at Beach House Mundesley and as you know, if you've stayed here, you can see the sea from your seat at the table, (if you are sitting on the sea facing side of course) anyway this time I spotted this! They are working on the sea defences bringing rocks in, and it's a sight to behold! I wish my kids were still little they would be SO excited to watch this!
PS if you want to bring your kids to see the action we have the weekend of half term available, 25th October - rare cancellation!

The hub of this holiday home is the kitchen. So many parties from posh dinner parties, to rowdy drunken dinner parties, to birthday teas with birthday cakes and balloons, seaside fish and chip suppers, or our personal family favourite where you just empty the fridge contents onto the table and sit and chat for hours over endless cups of tea, where lunch graduates into dinner, people come and go.. Literally hundreds of families have sat here over the last 18 years at this table, tell me your memories?

Here is one of our lovely groups (Lorraine and friends) who booked to stay at the house this time last year and a follow up, this weekend! Two photos of Lorraine's group, a year apart! Last year blazing hot, eating outside under the vines, and this year, well, it had to be an indoor/outdoor BBQ! Thanks to our weird July weather this year! Thank you Lorraine for returning to Beach House Mundesley again! We love it when groups return, it means so much to us that people return time and again.
