'Tremoloco Day' on iMTV turned out to be one of the best days of music of my 8 years on the road; I visited more genres of music in one day with these 6 amazing musicians than I could have in a year of travelling.

I talk to the individual members and capture some impromptu shenanigans and the Show stopper of a 2.5-hour-long extraviganza filled with Tex Mex, Cajun, Tejan, Zydeco, Country, Cantina, Roadhouse Blues (you name it) from in their own over modest words, "a band of side-men" IE Tony Zamora the band leader was 7 years with the highest flying Los Lobos setup; between them all it's hard to pick out who they haven't played with, I explòre all that in the interview.

However, my description, after paying witness to an amazing show (more live to follow here and on the Patreon Chanel) would firmly adhere to the common belief that Tremoloco is one of the great super groups now working on The Roots Music Circuit" and they have yet to play Europe (watch this space)

Such a privilege to catch up with them in the iconic venues in one of the great musical cities of the American Continent, and having so much fun with an audience who knows and loves them so well.

Petunia & The Vipers hale from Vanvouver i caught up with them at last nights spell binding Ironwood Stage & Grill performance in Calgary, I also talk to local house concert and festival organiser Lauren, (who has hosted Petunia) about the beautiful things that happen in house shows. Badlands Boogie was amazing, no phone signal but i have enough material for a month of broadcasting, history, heritage stories, folk and 'Rawk Music', got eaten alive and sunstroke to f , but man what a trip.

Lets kick it off with John Barry Graham telling some of the story about the Festival, his Heritage Ranch, The East Coulee Truss Bridge they are trying to preserve and him presenting 'Shoulder High W**d' with their commemorative plaque (every band got one) it was the 10th anniversary festival - we take in a bit it of SHWr 'Tragically Hip' set (more to come from them this week - stay tuned) - then visit the old west in the company of 'The Old West Raiders' and close out with young bloods 'Turnaround' kicking some serious ass.

Ruth and I met in Nashville, we were both first timers to ‘Tune Town’ - it was the start of a beautiful friendship that has led to us sharing an 1981 GMC RV and The Medicine Show Radio Moose Mobile's touring 12 countries, 25 states of the Union and 4 Canadian Provinces, much of that in a huge adventure together. She is simply one of the finest artists and people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in my life in music or otherwise.

This broadcast is timed for everyone back in Scotland, particularly Nairn (my home Town) and Aberdeen, home to the wndrfl Lorelei , I spent 2 of the highest days of the year in their company (they are always the highest with those guys) The Christmas Party at Drummonds in the Granit City was epic and so was their return to headline the Potting Shed Stage for us down in Moose Hollow at Belladrum Festival, some of that captured here by Ian MacDonald .
