Toad Hall is a wonderful fully modernised beach house with magnificent views across Carmarthen Bay. It has recently been refurbished with a modern kitchen and two new bathrooms. There are four bedrooms comprising of one kingsize room, two twin rooms and one bunk bed room where you can enjoy long lie ins while you admire the sun twinkling on the water and listen to the waves gently breaking on the

beach across the road. There is a large shower room with walk in shower, loo and hand basin and a family bathroom with large bath, separate shower, loo and hand basin. Downstairs there is a spacious hall, a dining room for leisurely family meals and a large sitting room with comfortable sofas and a wood burner for those chilly nights. French windows lead onto the terrace where there is a large table for alfresco eating and benches for sitting and enjoying the stunning views and the beach which is accessed 15 yards away across the road. The kitchen has an American style fridge freezer, separate small fridge, microwave, dishwasher and double oven with electric hob. Leading off the kitchen there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and a downstairs loo. All the bedrooms and main rooms downstairs have stunning sea views. Outside there is a courtyard with parking for 3/4 cars which is fully gated providing security for children and pets. Behind the house there is a large terraced sloping garden with spectacular views and another lounging area and is ideal for pets and can be used with permission from the owners. The house has Wifi, flatscreen TV, DAB radio and a DVD player. A travel cot and high chair are also provided and there are stair gates for the youngsters. Dogs are welcome, a maximum of two (with permission from the owners). The beach is dog friendly but from 1st May to 1st October there are restrictions on part of the beach. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is on the doorstep for long walks to the nearby villages of Wiseman's Bridge and Saundersfoot. Saundersfoot offers many restaurants and shops and it also has a harbour where watersports can be arranged together with boat and fishing trips. For horse lovers there are neighbouring stables which offer a full livery service offering wonderful woodland rides and exercising on the beach or there is a riding centre in the next door village of Marros. The village of Amroth comprises of two pubs, the Amroth Arms and the New Inn, a cafe, two gift shops, an ice cream shop, a convenience store and two bars, one with an indoor play area for children all within a couple of minutes walk from Toad Hall. A short walk through the village takes you to the Colby Woodland gardens where the children can play on rope swings, you can picnic, admire the gardens and enjoy delicious food in the cafe. The wonderful Folly Farm, only a few miles away. This attraction is so much more than a farm, with its Jolly Barn, Folly Zoo which has Lions, Zebras, Giraffes and many more, Indoor and Outdoor play areas, Europe's largest indoor vintage funfair and a 700 seat theatre. Even on the rainiest of days there is plenty for all the family to do. In a similar vein is Manor House Wildlife Park near to the village of St. Florence. Made famous in the ITV documentary series, "Anna's Welsh Zoo", the park was recently bought and renovated by TV celebrity interior designer, Anna Ryder-Richardson. Oakwood Theme Park is just over 5 miles from your accommodation. A fantastic day out for all the family, with some great rides and entertainment. Some serious roller-coasters for the thrill seekers and thankfully some gentler rides for the more squeamish! We can also recommed the Blue Lagoon indoor water park at nearby Bluestone, Battlefield Live, outdoor laser combat just 5 miles away at Llanteg; Heatherton World of Activities theme park, which is just opposite Manor House Wildlife Park; Silent World Aquarium and Reptile Collection in Tenby, and Ritec Valley Quad Bikes, just on the outskirts of Tenby towards Penally. Pembrokeshire is steeped in history, with many castles a short drive from Toad Hall. The nearest is Carew Castle just 4 miles down the A477, it's in a stunning location, overlooking a 23-acre millpond. Just a few miles further on is Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry VII, and off the A40 towards Haverfordwest is Picton Castle. Definitely worth a visit in the north of the county is St. Davids Cathedral and the reconstructed iron age hill fort of Castell Henlys. St Davids also has a wonderful chocolate shop. If you enjoy good food there is Coast just near Saundersfoot, right on the shoreline serving delicious food using, wherever possible, locally sourced Pembrokeshire ingredients, Will Holland and his team prepare dishes with skill, experience, creativity and a good dollop of style. There is also The Grove in Narberth which offers a truly intimate and sumptuous dining experience in a privately owned country house. Narberth also has an amazing Spanish delicatessen and cheese shop Ultracomida and a wonderful butcher Andrew Rees. For availability for Toad Hall please contact Tessa Pound at [email protected] or call 07870 788816. TOAD HALL (FRIDAY CHANGEOVER):
