๐งNASEBY CONSERVE WATER NOTICE ISSUED๐จ
๐
Monday 16 September 2024 - 4:15pm
โAfter the wild weather we have experienced, our Naseby water treatment plant is feeling the impact๐ง
A Conserve water notice is being issued for Naseby residents โ please reduce your water usage now to avoid moving into more drastic restrictions.
๐ง Why This Matters:
By reducing water usage now, we ease the strain on treatment plants and extend our stored water supply.
Ranfurly, Patearoa and Omakau/Ophir are being closely monitored and may move to a conserve water notice if required.
๐ข Please tag, share, and let your friends, family, and neighbours know โ especially those who might not see this online. Word of mouth is a powerful tool! โค

๐ฆ Watch the Drops
Today we're starting to tell you about water demand through the summer period. (check out today's edition of The News page 16: https://digital.thenews.co.nz/html5/default.aspx)
The three drops in the table below (green, orange and red) represent the level of demand on the water supply and what you need to do to conserve water.
We are experiencing an early dry summer and with increases in populations across the district, it places pressure on all of our water supplies.
Both Naseby and Pisa will be on orange drops due to the high usage expected in Naseby for the holiday period, and the high water demand already seen in Pisa.
We should all be thinking about the most efficient way to use water. The orange drop asks that sprinklers are only used in the evenings or early mornings if necessary and restrict the time to less than 30min in a single spot.
The supplies on the green drop are also asked to use water wisely.
Thanks, and let's stay out of the red drop zone!
For more info about water conservation go to our website: https://www.codc.govt.nz/services/water-services/water-conservation
