Completed in the year 2000 to celebrate the new millennium, the Millennium Walkway is an elevated path that clings to the side of the Torrs Gorge, suspended above the River Goyt. This walkway allows you to explore the dramatic landscape with ease, offering stunning views of the river below, the towering cliffs, and the lush greenery that surrounds it.

Discover Mam Tor's 10km loop walk, a 6 ½ mile trek starting in Castleton. Just a short 20 minute drive from our cottage! This trail showcases stunning Peak District views, including Edale, Hope Valley, and Kinder Scout. ⛰️✨

Beginning at Castleton's main car park, the route passes Treak Cliff and Blue John Cavern. Continue to Mam Tor, 'Shivering Mountain,' for iconic views. The path leads to Back Tor and Lose Hill Pike, offering stunning views of the Peak District. 🏞️

The longer route guides you back to Castleton along the riverside, passing through Hope. A perfect chance to refuel with some tea, cake, or pub grub! ☕🍰🍽️
