We thought we would show some of the lovely locations in New Quay close to the Harbour, where you can sit in the sun and enjoy the excellent views and variety of food and drink on offer. Starting from the top of Glanmor Terrace, we start at the Seahorse pub, followed by the Black Lion and the Bosun’s Locker, followed by a nice view of the Harbour Beach, and then the Penwig, Gelato, The Blue Bell, Pasty Pasty, The Lime Crab, The Mariners, Gingeros, Jitterbug and the Captains, Sup Shack, and finally the Pepperpot on Church Street. Not all of these had customers outside sitting in the sun. There is also the Penrhiwllan on the A486 towards Maenygroes, lots of space outside, also the newly opened Delicias, a Deli offering wines, cheeses, breads and pastries, olives, veg, fruit, located close to the Seahorse pub just around the corner, there are tables and chairs outside. Several others not shown include the Chinese Takeaway, the New Quay Yacht Club, and the newly opened Yasmins Bengali restaurant on Uplands Square, although there was no one outside eating at the time. New video when we get some decent sunshine.
Tuesday morning Aug. 15th
Just a small taste of the New Quay Music Festival this afternoon in the sunshine.
Thursday June 29th – Took a leisurely stroll through New Quay this afternoon. Breezy but sunny. Crowded around the Fish and Chip and the ice cream shops, plenty enjoying a beverage in the sun and seagulls catching the wind above the pier, but not so many on the beaches. Still 2 lifeboats on the sand.
BIG DAY in New Quay today as the new RNLI lifeboat Roy Barker V (13-48) arrived at 13:48 accompanied by Shannon class lifeboats from Cardigan and Aberystwyth and various other small craft.
