Race Across the World, the BBC’s epic, hugely successful and much-loved BAFTA-award winning series returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its hotly anticipated new season from Wednesday 10 April.
Eastern Asia is this year’s route, and the five intrepid duos will battle it out in a breath-taking 15,000 kilometres race across several countries. From northern Japan, they will cross six seas and eight borders, skirting the path of the volcanic ring of fire - the most geologically unstable region on the planet to reach the finish line in Lombok, an idyllic Indonesian island paradise.

Wow, what a trip!! I am just back from Reykjavik in Iceland where myself and Nikki Ashe - Travel Counsellor took our first group trip. Our clients had an amazing time as you can see from the photos.
The weather was perfect and we even got a glimpse of the Northern Lights. The Blue Lagoon was just amazing with a stunning sunset. Some of the group did a food walking tour and we sampled some of Reykjaviks best food and cocktails!! (before 11am)
We did the Golden Circle by super jeep and went onto the Glacier in snowmobiles. The experience is just magical and cannot even be shown by camera, I will remember it for a long long time.
The sky lagoon is such a different experience to the Blue Lagoon with a 7 Step Ritual & stunning views over the ocean.
Reykjavik is a city brimming with life, amazing restaurants and a great base to explore the stunning scenery that surrounds it. I really need to visit in the summer months too as this is a whole new experience!!

As promised here's a quick vid on my incredible honeymoon in Sri Lanka. We were still travelling so we had a week in a wonderful hotel near Galle, and then got the rucksacks back on and hit the trail in an island that just steals your heart. The history, food, smiling people, and exotic wildlife creates an atmosphere that you will never forget. All the famous sites deserve their reputation, but one that will always stay with me is the small town of Haputale high in the mountains, with clouds framing each view, and a spectacular train ride to get there…just stunning. Hope you all had a lovely Easter and maybe got to see loved ones you haven't seen for a while. I had afternoon tea in my parents garden, it's the first time I've seen them since July last year and I can't tell you how wonderful it was. The events of the past year have taught us many things, including the fact that being able to spend quality time with family and friends has never felt so important. We’ve missed exploring the world with the people that mean the most to us and as we look forward, I’ll keep your wellbeing at the heart of everything I do. I miss travelling so much, I miss the adventure and the random things that happen to us when we go to a bar for a few drinks. When I look back on photos it creates so many memories that make me smile. I hope you enjoy reliving your travel memories with us as you watch our film, and when you’re ready to travel again I’ll be here for you, both for trips around the UK, and to distant shores. Hang in there, it won't be long now.
