Our Story
Readyfield Farm Holiday Cottages are located in the tranquil Nottinghamshire Countryside. Family owned and run by the Boddy Family who have farmed on Readyfield Farm for 5 generations.We have a 550 acre mixed farm growing Oilseed rape,Milling wheats for Warburtons,Winter barley and potaoes, Beef suckler Herd,as well as Turkeys for Gressingham Foods and 5 Holiday lets including two log cabins all on our family farm.We also run conservation schemes on the Farm such as pollen nectar mixes and winter birdfoods.We have a diverse selection of wildlife including Buzzards,Badgers,Deer,Foxes,Brown Hare and Red Kites.
The Hayloft is located on the Farm overlooking the stunning Beck Valley, this cottage sleeps two and has been furnished to an extremely high standard throughout,woth a Hot Tub for two.
Stable Cottage is located on the Farm overlooking Beesthorpe Hall and the Beck Valley, this cottage sleeps 6 ( 2 bedrooms and sofa bed in the lounge) , the cottage has been recently renovated and has been furnished to an extremely high standard.Has a large Hot tub for 6.
Hall Farmhouse is located in the rural hamlet of Winkburn, Nottinghamshire, this cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 people and is furnished to a high specification,also has a large Hot tub to enjoy a wondefull star canopy.
All three cottages are fully equipped, and include, bed linen, towels, welcome pack, electricity and free wifi. Each Cottage has its own parking space and garden area with patio furniture and barbeque.
Within a short drive are many attractions including, Rufford Abbey, Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest,Sherwood pines for bike enthusiasts, Newark Showground home to many varied events, Historic Market town of Newark on Trent with its Civil War Museum, Antiques shops Market and Castle. Also close by is the quaint village of Southwell with its renowned Minster. A short drive away are the cities of Lincoln and Nottingham both steeped in history.Also well worth a visit is our neighbours Ice cream parlour for breakfasts lunches and afternoon teas,all sourced locally.This is great walking country with a public foot path from your door.
