The last 12 weeks have been a wild ride with all of you, so we’re wrapping up the summer holidays in style with a big giveaway! We have already seen some of your posts at the cafe and they have been amazing!

The little village of Alnmouth during golden hour 🧡

The name Alnmouth comes from the Old English mūþa (mouth of river), once an important part of trade and a busy port the village saw a decline in the 19th century.

Now Alnmouth is rated as among the “20 most beautiful villages in the UK and Ireland” and lies within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Half Term holidays are underway and we are open every day of the school holidays from 10am - 4pm.

⛏Dig deeper into Northumberland's coal mining heritage and explore the original colliery buildings
🎨Have a go at the daily, drop in art activity 'Oom Pah Pah' and create your own wacky brass band
👣Journey through Coal Town an interactive exhibition telling the stories of 100 years in a coal mining community

Birds of Prey | Wednesday 29th May, 11am - 3pm

Discover the fascinating world of birds of prey and see spectacular displays with the team from Ridgeside Falconry and Lurcher Racing

The popular and interactive flying displays take place at 12 noon and 2pm (weather dependent).

Ridgeside Falconry will also be on hand to answer your questions about the birds of prey alongside their static display from 11am – 3pm.

No need to pre-book, admission to Woodhorn Museum is £9.50 adults, £8.50 concessions and under 18s visit for FREE. Pay once and can visit as many times as you want for a whole year.

EVENT | Join our Huskynn Paula and Oscar on Sunday 26 & Monday 27 May as they tell stories about Ad Gefrin and the life of Bede the historian in the Great Hall.

St Bede the Venerable was the father of English History, and one of the most well-known Anglo-Saxon saints. It is through Bede that we know some of the characters and stories at the heart of the ancient kingdom of Northumbria, and his saint’s day is 25th May.

Lilidorei Quiet Session 🤫

📆Saturday 18th May
⏰9am-11am

This dedicated session is for families with children living with additional sensory needs. This specially allocated time allows more freedom, and an even more enjoyable experience of Lilidorei, away from the crowds 💫

We will be reducing capacity for this session to a maximum of 100 people, the volume on the speakers will be lowered throughout the village and the Secret Keepers will not approach any visitors without being prompted by the guardians.

A great place to visit , especially with children . Just up the road from High Tide 👍

The Easter Bunny will be visiting Woodhorn Museum from Good Friday 29th March through to Easter Monday 1st April.

The Bunny is due to visit between 11am and 3pm each day.

If you find the bunny during your visit they will reward you with a small sweet treat!

You can also join in the daily craft activity in the Pop Up Ashington Group Hut which runs from 12noon-3pm every day during the Northumberland Easter Holidays.

The Easter Bunny is included with your Annual Pass admission £9.50 adults, £8.50 concessions and under 18s visit for FREE! Pay once and enjoy unlimited repeat visits for a whole year.
