Heritage Open Days is Englandโs largest festival of history and culture. Running every September, the festival offers free access to heritage events and activities across England.

Have a go at the drop-in family-friendly art activitiy inspired by the Pitmen Painter (between 12noon and 3pm)
Join one of the spotlight tours (suitable for all ages) and dig deeper into Northumberland's coal mining heritage.
Be inspired by the Pitmen Painters and its the last chance to see the exhibition 'Oliver Kilbourn: My Life as a Pitman'.
The museum is open from 10am - 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
