In Nepal we work in Dhulikhel, a rural town in the Kathmandu Valley that is a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city.

The Newari people are one of Nepal’s many ethnic groups and are considered the indigenous inhabitants of the Kathmandu Valley. Food plays an important role in the traditional festivals and celebrations that occur frequently throughout the valley. People gather together to celebrate and share a Newari banquet.

In our animal conservation Impact Area, you’ll support our local nature park partners, working on animal welfare and environmental conservation. You’ll help with daily duties at the park which could include cleaning the park, elephant care and reforestation efforts. The parks are home to several environmentally focused projects, including a reforestation initiative. You’ll leave the nature park inspired by the conservation efforts and with knowledge and motivation to continue making a difference.
