Copied from Wales Online - "Vital" roadworks will see a lane of the A40 closed for eight months. Major works have been announced between Halfway and Llandovery from October 12, 2024, until May 6, 2025.
The roadworks on the roughly six-mile stretch of road will allow repair of a slope prone to landslide and a new drainage system installed, as well as safety barriers to be put in place. There will be some weekend and evening closures and a single lane closure using temporary traffic signals on weekdays. All these steps have been put in place to try to minimise disruption as much as possible. A temporary 40mph speed limit will also be in effect for the duration of the works.

We really do recommend that travel insurance is taken out before your trip. I do when I go away even in this country. Gives peace of mind.
For an example only. And there is a sizable excess.
I've just had a look at holiday insurance cover for the UK from the post-office.
I'm sure it could be cheaper elsewhere.

Why not discover the hidden coves and the stunning Cardigan bay coastal path,dog friendly beaches woodland walks and the stunning Preseli Hills.
The cottage has good facilities including a dish washer and washing machine freezer etc and sleeps 3 in double and single rooms. We have great views across the valley. It is peaceful, restful and the perfect place to recharge with little passing traffic to disturb the birds song. There is a multitude of wildlife right from the front door. No wonder so many of our guests return year upon year. A super dog friendly cottage Floors are a mix of tiles, lino and carpet. Fencing is of various heights, the lowest being around 3'6"at the gate. We accept around 7 medium sized dogs foc.

We have just had a cancellation starting Fri 11/10 for a week. Please contact asap if you would like to have a break here in beautiful west Wales. We also accept short breaks with a minimum 2 nights. Don't forget we accept around 7 mediumish sized dogs foc and we have a super enclosed garden for the dogs to romp around in. Cheers everyone.
