โš ๏ธWARNING FOR DOG OWNERS WALKING BESIDE WATERSWAYS OR BEACHES of West Wales โ€ผ๏ธ

โ˜ฃ๏ธ Recent storms have caused a poisonous and highly toxic plant to become washes up onto our beaches and waterways.

Water Hemlock is highly toxic and ingestion of just a few leaves can be deadly. All part of the plant as poisonous but the root (which looks like a parsnip) is the most toxic.

Drinking water that the plant has sat in will also likely cause poisoning.

The clinical signs of water hemlock poisoning are apparent from just 2 minutes up to 2 hours:

-Seizures
-Stiff limbs and vomiting
-Salivation and frothing of the mouth
-Abdominal pain
-Collapse

The action of the poison is rapid and must be treated as a medical emergency. If you think your dog may have ingested this plant and it showing any of the above signs, please contact your veterinary practice immediately.

The owners Liz & Paul are not new to the tourist business having owned and run a successful local campsite for 16 years. Being a super dog friendly area they identified a need in the market for a multi dog friendly holiday let and Golden Meadow Apartment was born.
