The Newcastle Ghost Walks was first created just for fun and would later become a full time guided business in Newcastle and Durham. The Newcastle Ghost Walks hosted its first ghost walk on Halloween night 2006 to just 80 people, the following year would see almost 3000 people try and book with ques from the Castle starting point to St Nicholas Cathedral, we went viral before viral was a thing.
By 2007 we had established the Newcastle Ghost Walks brand which later created Alone In The Dark Entertainment which went on to host ghost hunting nights and sold 7 franchises around the UK and sold for £1.6 million in 2014. Today we are recognised as a multi award winning tour company that has operated our best selling tour the Till Death Do Us Part Ghost Walk along with 3 other main tours and 9 seasonal tours making our tour total 13. More than any other in the UK.
The Newcastle Ghost Walks is also home to other award winning tours such as The Black Death Plague Tour, it is the only plague tour outside of London. We also have a truly amazing tour called The Newcastle Witchery Tour also know as the Newcastle Witches Ghost Walk, this again is a must for anyone that wishes to experience the life of a witch in the year 1649 as your guide a real folkloric witch or traditional witch guides you to the many sites associated with the 1649 and 1650 witch trails of Newcastle. We have Ghost of the Garth named after the book written by our creator or Steven J Taylor who takes you on a walk back through the true and ghastly stories of whats been witnessed, seen and felt from paranormal attacks to ghost sighting through the last decade with many stories be told that are featured in the book. We then offer a most scary creation ever, The Haunting of Finchale Farm. This takes you from Newcastle to Chester Le Street to where one families fight with a demonic entity lasted over 60 years. The tour includes internal buildings such as a old barns dating back to the 1200’s, a very scary pathways through the su***de forest along with many sites of tragic events.
Each year we host specialist tours that only run for a short time and sell out very quick. We often have waiting lists. In the past we have had Children of the Grave, Victorian Murder Walks, The Ouija Board Ghost Walk, Gangland Newcastle and many more. Each tour is a themed tour, the best ones become full time fr a year only.
