What a fantastic evening last night at the North East Hotels Association annual awards ceremony hosted by our friends at The Fed in 🏨

Was lovely to see everyone in their finest including ourselves at who once again were the sponsor of the 'Warmest Welcome' award which went to the fantastic Victoria Mario from the Maldron Hotel Newcastle 🤩

Here at Nearby Taxis , we're the North East's biggest network of Private Hire and Taxi operators and we're on the lookout for experienced staff to come join the team! 🙌🏼🙌🏽🙌🏾

Ideally you will have proven experience of working within a taxi environment as well as use of the icabbi or Autocab dispatch systems. 🚕

Great customer service skills are also essential to the role along with the ability to deal with booking in rides, dealing with our vast network of drivers and providing a first class service that our customers are accustomed to!

Although we will be accepting applications from folk with a customer service background and full training will be given, we must relay that ideally we are looking for staff with taxi experience in both a call taking and dispatching role.

WE'RE DAFT AS A BRUSH... ARE YOU? 💙 Cancer is one of those awful things that will affect all of us either directly or indirectly at some point in our lives and the mental and financial burden for patients and families can often be heartbreaking at such a crucial time. Newcastle based charity Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care a cause very close to our hearts, do an absolutely amazing job in lessening that burden a little in providing FREE transportation to and from our own Freeman Hospital when attending radiotherapy and chemotherapy sessions. This charity led by Andy do absolutely amazing things and transport an average of 60000 patients per year using some fantastic volunteers and a fleet of over 40 ambulances 👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾 Rob Armstrong our founder and all round good guy has recently onboarded the help of friend Alan Shearer in signing a few Newcastle United shirts to be raffled off as well as a donation of £1000 from ourselves at nearby to put.towards the costs of running those ambulances. Well done guys for all that you do for us and a massive thanks to Rob for making this happen!
