Starting a tour for Northern Secrets in South Shields this week and saying hello to these lovely ladies on the way!

‘Conversation Piece’ is a sculpture created by the renowned Spanish artist Juan Muñoz in 1999. This work features 22 bronze figures, each about 1.5 meters tall and weighing around a quarter of a ton, arranged around an open space in the dunes at Littlehaven, South Shields.

Positioned at the entrance to the River Tyne, these figures greet visitors arriving from both land and sea. 🌊

Discovering hidden gems on our Hadrian’s Wall tour!

From Vindolanda to Cawfield’s Quarry, sipping at Twice Brewed Tap Room and stargazing at the planetarium. Explored the Temple of Mithras at Brocolitia, Limestone Corner, and the Church at Heavenfield, the start of St. Oswald’s Pilgrim’s Trail. Then, we looped through the North Pennines, taking in the beauty of Derwent Reservoir, Blanchland, and Edmundbyers.
