Stacey Bloom Alnwick Gardens
What a BEAUTIFUL garden! 😍
Stacey from our team recently visited The Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland to see the famous Cherry Orchard in full bloom. 🌼
Once a year, the Taihaku Cherry Blossom Orchard comes to life, and it looks absolutely SPECTACULAR, don't you agree? 🤩
It only blooms for about 2 weeks of the year so it is definitely worth making a special trip to Northumberland for the occasion! AND Alnwick is easily accessible by car or public transport from many of our cottage locations.
🙌 Fun fact: Did you know that The Cherry Orchard at The Alnwick Garden has the largest collection of ‘Taihaku’ trees in the world? 😱

Beth at Beamish Museum
Beth from our team recently visited Beamish Museum in County Durham that gives visitors an insight into life in the 19th and 20th century.
She loves going to Beamish because "every time you go, you discover and learn something new from the volunteers who help to interpret the past by not only dressing up and being totally in character, but also with the knowledge they have which is incredible"
This is what Beth had to say about her visit "Fish and Chips from Davy's in the pit village is always the first stop - cooked in coal-fired ranges using beef dripping!
Followed by a bag of pear drops from the Jubilee sweet shop in the 1900s Town. Then we like to catch a tram or a bus along to the 1820s Pockerley to ride a steam train and see what they are growing in the gardens!"
⭐ Truly local tip: Once you buy a ticket, it is valid for a whole year so you can go as many times as you like!
