The weather forecast remains good for the weekend ahead with no rain due to next week.
This means the ground remains dry and the risk of wildfires is still a major concern.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council have closed Ott, Bloody Bridge & Trassey car parks to discourage people visiting the Mournes.
However, some motorists have taken to parking on the roadside in the area of these car parks and blocking the flow of traffic.
If your vehicle is causing an obstruction it may receive a parking ticket or could be removed from the road.
If further fires develop the roads need to be clear to allow access for Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and other agencies.
There are plenty of other areas around the District to visit in the sunny weather - everyone is being asked to avoid the Mournes.
