Job Title: Coach Drivers
Location: Newmachar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK

We are looking for friendly and experienced Coach Drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for driving coaches on group tours, school runs, and varied private hire within Scotland and the UK.

Responsibilities:
- Safely transport passengers to their destinations
- Provide excellent customer service
- Follow established traffic and transportation procedures
- Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained
- Maintain accurate records
- Comply with safety and regulatory requirements

Requirements:
- Valid PCV license
- DCPC qualification
- Excellent driving record
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Knowledge of Scotland and the UK road network
- Previous experience in coach driving

Full time 40hr Positions, overtime will be available
We would also welcome applications for part time school bus drivers or drivers wishing to do seasonal driving

Rate of pay will be £13.00 per hour

Coronavirus Virus Update



We have made the very difficult decision to cancel all of our 2020 coach tours.

The health of our customers has to be our number one priority and while we feel that measures can be put in place to mitigate the risk of contracting Covid-19, we aren't able to guarantee that customers won't contract the virus.

With hotels also required to mitigate the risk of Covid-19, it seems unlikely that customers would enjoy a “normal” holiday experience. Added to this, many tourist attractions have made the decision that they will not accept group bookings during 2020, which would result in Whytes being unable to deliver our advertised excursions.

While we are committed to offering coach tours for 2021 and beyond, we will not distribute our 2021 brochure until, we are satisfied that we can deliver the holiday experience enjoyed by our customers pre Covid-19.


We will now start to issue refunds to all our customers, in departure order, which we hope to complete in the coming weeks.

We will be opening the office, Monday to Friday 09:30 - 14:30 starting from Monday 20th July, as life begins to return to normal. We are planning to start our coach tours from the 24th August.

Acquiring the Industry Standard mark means that our business is following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

Coaches play a vital role in our economy and society, helping tourists see the sights of the UK, providing accessible holidays and days out and ensuring that important events, from weddings to music festivals, go ahead without a hitch.

The Covid-19 outbreak is having a devastating effect on Whyte's ability to deliver services to our clientele, particularly those who join us for a coach holiday, many who now find themselves enduring a long periods of isolation.

I sincerely hope that the current Government measures are navigating us towards normality and the ability for Whytes to restart our 2020 touring programme.

COVID19 Novel Coronavirus

It is with great regret and sadness that we are having to take the step of closing our office for the time being, In all of my years here i cannot think of a date where this has had to happen.

Following Mondays announcement, we will be closed until further notice due to the government’s stipulation on essential working.

We are at the moment contacting everyone with April departures to inform them of the cancellations.

We will open again as soon as we are able.

Behind the scenes - one of our coaches getting a routine inspection by our camera shy mechanic and cleaning the windows is Mike one of our drivers. Our coaches are cleaned inside and out on a daily basis so this is a nonstop job 🧹🧽
