We are thrilled to announce another enhancement to our route network with the confirmation that Eastern Airways will launch a new daily service between Cornwall and East Midlands, adding over 1,000 weekly seats to our schedule next year!💙
Supporting the calls of many Midlands and Cornish travellers, the new daily flights will commence on Friday, 10 February, in time for the half-term break. With a flight time of little over an hour, operating on a low-emission 72-seat ATR aircraft, this will save almost ten hours compared to surface transport options on a round-trip.
In addition to introducing a brand new UK region to our route map, Eastern Airways has also confirmed extra weekday flights to London Gatwick – this is 19 flights a week! Also confirmed is an increase in flights to Humberside from twice a week to four times a week.
This is a major step in growing connectivity to and from Cornwall and is the only Midlands service from the Southwest of England. Adding East Midlands Airport to our network opens up onward travel to the major cities of Nottingham, Derby, Leicester all within 30 minutes and Sheffield within an hour.
