What a lovely review from a guest, who stayed with us for a long weekend in our lovely Duchy Barn. Perfect all year round especially in the Winter months.

After a long dark journey into the night, I found myself being warmly welcomed into a pretty boutique cottage with impeccable decor, attention to detail running through every element, and every inch sparkling and spotlessly clean.

The morning started with a fresh coffee, a friendly chicken saying hello, and a little wonder down a lane that can only be described as a scene from a fable. I could go on to mention much more than the luxurious cookies which were hand delivered by the host, or the sumptuously deep bath I sat in whilst the fire roared in the room next door, but I think you should go and find out for yourselves.

Last month we had another proposal and acceptance of Marriage !

The happy couple in question left us this lovely feedback....

The hideaway was everything we wanted and more! We were able to completely shut off from the world and we truly didn’t realise how much we needed that!

The home is just perfection. So cosy and beautiful gardens make you feel so at ease.

The hideaway will always be a special place for us as this is now where we got engaged! Thank you guys for a wonderful break x

Today we celebrate 7 years of owning . In those 7 years we have created 5 fabulous holiday cottages (the 5th launching next week) and created happy places for our guests to dwell, get engaged, celebrate and most importantly create memories.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us and to everyone who will in the future.

Our new cottage has its own little cocktail bar area we've named the Curious Cow. It's been hard work but we've checked and the bar books have provided us with a lovely margarita 🍹 on the rocks of course ....

Probably a new favourite proper pub! As an independent free house this award winning pub has all the magical ingredients - Great food and drink served by people who care in a building that oozes charm and delight from every corner.

Combining small and large plates and moreish Pizzettas from dough made freshly on site from a authentic Neapolitan recipe, everything on this menu will leave you wanting to order more. The drinks menu will get you in the swinging mood for a round at the 18 hole mini golf course which is part of this new hotspot. FORE!!!

Adam Handling's latest venture in Cornwall is quickly becoming a must-visit destination. Tregoose Old Mill

Tregoose Old Mill is set in the beautiful Cornish countryside minutes from Cornwall's stunning North Coast. Tregoose is a tiny tranquil rural hamlet in a hidden valley that even many locals have never heard of and yet is only 6 miles from Newquay and 12 miles from Padstow making this the perfect base to explore the beautiful county of Cornwall with its many stunning beaches, beautiful harbour towns and peaceful rolling countryside.

Steeped in history, Tregoose Old Mill dates back to 1750 and stands on the site of an old monastery which befell the anger of Henry VIII during the reformation. The original altar stone can still be seen in the garden and the stone that was used to build the mill is reportedly from the former monastery. A working flour mill has been on this site since the late 1400’s and stopped milling in the 1920’s. The original waterwheel was destroyed many years ago when a group of local boys re opened the mill leat which then washed away the decaying wood structure leaving only part of the original mill wheel spindle which can still be seen on the lower side of the building.

Stephen and Dean Clayton-Madge are the current owners and feel honoured to be part of the next stage of the mill's history. Our first holiday cottage; The Hideaway is unrecognisable now following an extensive refurbishment in 2018. Our desire is to provide luxury country coastal living in surroundings that invite you to relax, enjoy time and forget your phones for a while.
