This is brilliant! We are located between Porth beach and Watergate bay. My son has cerebral palsy and has surf lessons with Coastal Crusaders down at watergate, who are highly recommended.

This comprehensive guide provides detailed information on wheelchair access, parking, facilities, activities, services, terrain, and dog regulations for beaches in Cornwall.

If you are planning a day out, and need to know about accessibility at the beach, this guide is what you need.

The guide is organized by different areas of Cornwall, making it easy to find the perfect beach nearest to your location.

We have also implemented a colour-coded traffic light system to indicate accessibility ratings helping you to quickly and easily identify the most suitable beaches for your visit.

In addition to beach-specific information, the guide also includes additional resources and tips for planning a beach trip, helping to make your experience as seamless as possible.

We want to help everyone with accessibility challenges to enjoy all the amazing things Cornwall has to offer .

🐾Our dog friendly caravan welcomed its first dog visitors this week and by the much appreciated review, photos and flowers! Looks like Elsa & Anna had an amazing time! 🐾.

This year, we decided to make one of our caravans dog friendly and as much as we would like to make both our caravans the same. We have loyal guests that stay regular in our accessible caravan that have allergies as well as other health issues, including my own children and I appreciate how hard it's now getting to find accommodation for a wheelchair user with allergies as most are dog now friendly.

We like to pride ourselves on doing our own cleaning and maintenance. Leaving the caravans to the standard we would like to walk into ourselves.

As a family run business the summer is a balancing act between cleaning, childcare and working other jobs and this summer we had a fridge break mid season and then I got called in for surgery to add to the mix.

Got to admit, I was nervous with my husband solely overseeing everything. But he is currently feeling very smug! 10/10 reviews with cleanliness - Not bad for a carpenter by trade! 😂.

Thank you for the well wishes I've received from our guests and the unexpected gifts - much appreciated.

Only negative feedback we received this year is... We could do with better phone signal in Cornwall. - Welcome to Cornwall!. 😕

Safety first, but we do push Brody's boundaries for him to access and experience as much in life as possible.

He is non verbal but "yeah" for yes and a strong blow of the lips for no is his consent to go ahead with any activity.

He has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, dystonia, limited head control, can't sit up unaided and startles out the comfort of his wheelchair.

Timings of his medication play a huge part to how our day goes with his involuntary movements. Can he participate? Wasted journey? Never! Safety first.

Everyday is different depending on his dystonia, some days we may not even make it out the house.

But when we do and movements are good, Our little thrill seeker does have fun!.

We will be sharing more of our experiences on our page.

Pictures from our day at the Children's Sailing Trust We wasn't sure the activity would go ahead due to no supportive seating in the boat.

After me explaining about Brody's movements to the team, we decided to give it ago. We had a boat along side the sailing boat with staff in for extra safety. And thought it would be a quick sail. But the drugs worked, the movement of the water helped as always and our little captain pugwash was loving his Cornish life.

Team member "indy" was amazing with Brody.

Not sure if we would get this day again with the same relaxed movements but i will take what day we had as a successful one!. Emotional to watch.

If your heading down your in for a treat, beautiful location and so relaxing which is needed for us carers too. I've experienced swimming in the lake on a previous trip (Just stunning). Cakes are amazing too! Brody will know this as he ate his then half of mine!.

Trying to accommodate everyones unique disability needs in a two bedroom caravan is quite a challenge!

But we love a challenge!.

We looked into hiring a profile bed but our local loan company are rightly concentrating on our over stretched hospital.

So as we personally do our own laundry and cleaning on change over days we thought why not move/change beds over to suit needs.

Option 3: Two full size single beds clipped together to make a double.

We appreciate an over head track is better than a mobile hoist. However, some guests want to feel a sense of freedom when on holiday and prefer the option of putting the hoist away when not in use.

We are happy with this set up for now...

Hi I'm Brody, the face of the business.

I would say i do all the caravan cleaning but with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and dystonic involuntary movements it's best to leave it to my parents.

I'm the youngest of triplets and we have a younger brother. Born at 27 weeks in Liverpool, raised in Derbyshire. Now living the dream in Cornwall.

When we moved to Cornwall, we lived in our adapted caravan while our house was being renovated and adapted for me. The plan was never to rent the caravan out but we decided that we would like to enable other families like ours to holiday in Cornwall and enjoy it as much as we do.

It is important to us to be apart of the community, so we also look after local families and offer that much needed quieter break outside the school holidays.

Weather you come with a cool set of wheels like me or not your welcome to stay.

Unfortunately we don't allow pets due to my sister and some of my unique friends having severe allergies.

Our reviews reflect the fact we really do look after our guests.
