The perfect way to leave St Michaels Mount! Cooling off with a paddle across the causeway!

A lazy seal at Lizard point today. Lovely to see him out of the water.
I could have sat there and watched him all day!

A stunning day to tour the North coast of Cornwall yesterday. Here's the view from the cliffs above Port Quin. Note the little Doyden castle which featured in the Doc Martin TV series. #portquin #docmartin #cornwall #tourcornwall #seaview
I thought its time I shared this amazing video shot by @rich_west last year between Lockdown. When the weather improves towards spring we plan to go out with the other Tour Cornwall guides and film our day tours and hopefully a full series of Cornwall short films...๐๐
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022 from Tour Cornwall!!
A stunning morning at Cadgwith Cove on the Lizard peninsula.

Not all caves around the Cornish coast are as they seem. This on at Stem Cove near Watergate Bay was once a lead mine and takes over a minute to walk from the back to the entrance. There's a shaft above it leading to a hole in the cliffs and 2 further unfinished tunnels leading under the coast path. In the summer months its very likely it was used for smuggling contraband into Cornwall, likely stored in the upper tunnels and removed under the cover of darkness. I visited the upper caves years ago and found an old bow saw and a wooden bucket used for tunneling, but it's not advisable... One slip and you'd be tumbling 100ft into the sea.
Access to the cove and cave is by kayak or super low spring tide.

Lunchtime at Lamorna Cove. A regular stop for us and always good food and great views. ๐ฆ
A young seal on the slipway at Penberth today. Catching a little sun. #seal #penberthcove #poldark #cornwall #tourcornwall
Lovely summers day down at St Michael's Mount today, and good to see the boats are up and running again at high tide. Still no international tourists, so a quiet summer for me. I guess I'll just have to enjoy it. ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
The next episode. Boat parked.
Nice to see old fishing boats being pulled up the cobbled slipway at Penberth. No longer using the ancient capstan wheel but the more modern electric winch in the shed.
Beautiful day for touring the Penwith Peninsula. We know where to escape the crowds.

And here's Sennen cove, just a few miles from the Minack theatre.

I do like a Winter tour... This time the Minack was sheltered, but Sennen was taking a battering!
Happy New year to all! Hereโs a video of the view from the famous North Cornwall cliffs the other day. This is Trevone, just along from where Poldark rides his Horse at Park Head... as you can see thereโs a bit of a swell running!
If anyone is thinking of booking a tour for 2020, we are running 3 cars again, but May is filling up fast.
We are having a new website built at the moment, and we are adding a โBest of the Westโ tour incorporating the Cotswolds, Bath, Glastonbury, Dartmoor, Salisbury and Stonehenge and of Course Cornwall! That should keep us busy!
Bye for now.
