We supply logs for the fire, milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and even a few treats to enjoy!! All you have to do is relax!! ☕️🍪🍂🍁🔥🪵🔥😍

*most asked question that we get - are pets welcome? 🦮🐕‍🦺🐾 the answer; YES, well behaved pets are welcome but there are some rules.
1. They are not allowed on our soft furnishings - so if your dog is used to sleeping in your bed or on your sofa, they might be best staying at home 🫣
2. They must be cleaned up after using the bins provided. (Not over walls into farmland or into hedges where children play)
3. They must be kept on a lead as there are other cottages and other guests in the area - some do not like dogs - for various reasons (my children are petrified) and this should be respected.
4. There is a £30 fee if you are bringing your dog so just let us know in advance.

Apologies if that sounds harsh - most of our existing guests are fabulous pet owners and we want to keep that up ☺️

Peggy's Cottage is a traditional stone cottage dating back to 1600s. It is set within the settlement of Hanna's Close, between the Mourne Mountains and the County Down coast. 5 mins drive to the beautiful Silent Valley Reservoir. Lots of beaches nearby 🌊
The cottage sleeps up to 4 with a double bed and set of bunk beds. It is fully equipped with everything you would need for a peaceful weekend away. Pets are welcome but we ask that you be mindful of the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields. There is a small deep clean fee of £30 added when dogs are staying.

Peggy's Cottage is a traditional stone cottage built in the 1600s with lots of the original features including large open fire 🔥 with logs provided!! 🪵 lots of our returning guests say it's like going back in time a little ☺️ some remember growing up in similar cottages so it is a lovely experience for the older generation ☺️
Perfect location to explore the Mourne Mountains ⛰️ with the Silent Valley Reservoir just 5 minutes drive up the road. We have beautiful beaches 🌊 nearby. Kilkeel beach is just 5 mins drive or Cranfield blue flag beach is approx 15 mins drive.
🛏️ The cottage sleeps up to 4 guests with a double bed in one room and a set of bunk beds in the other. There is a bath with an electric shower over, a basic but fully equipped kitchen including a washing machine if needed after those muddy outdoor adventures 🥾
Dogs are welcome, we just ask that you be mindful of the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields. They must be cleaned up after and we ask that they are not allowed on the soft furnishings 🐕

Peaceful setting, perfect to get away from it all for some rest & relaxation. A short 10 min drive takes you to the Silent Valley, the gateway to the Mourne Mountains. 5 mins drive takes you to Kilkeel beach 🌊

We are pet friendly 🐶 🥰
We simply ask that you be mindful of the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields and we have a £30 charge per stay when dogs are visiting. This covers the additional deep cleaning required to our soft furnishings.

The cottage sleeps up to 4 guests plus travel cot if required. Prices are total cost regardless of number of guests staying ☺️

For tonight they are cosy by the fire 🔥 listening to the wind and rain outside. Did you know that Kilkeel beach is just 5 minutes drive away from Peggy's Cottage?! This was it today.. early November. Beautiful any time of the year!! Visit the next time you are staying 🌊 ☀️ 😍

🦋 If you have been lucky enough to stay at Peggy’s Cottage recently you might have noticed our ‘Butterfly Bush’ or for any gardeners ‘Buddleja Nanho Blue’ 🦋 in full swing at the minute 😍 Hopefully Facebook hasn’t distorted the video too much so you can all see.. really beautiful 🦋 listen for the river running by and the birdsong today.. so peaceful ☺️
