Meet Chester, our rescue hoglet, less than a week old. My Eagle eyed nephew spotted him on the gravel park, eyes still closed.
There are many reasons why he was out during the day, none would be good, but quick action was needed. We found Loughgall hedgehog rescue, they advised us to lift him and get him warmed up, a wonderful volunteer said she would meet me in Newry.
When she saw him she said he had fly strike, poor pet had fly eggs laid in his ear and back, if left the maggot would eat into his head. I will follow his progress on Facebook.
We are so fortunate for places like this who devote their time rescuing hedgehogs.

We hosted our first Tropic pamper party this afternoon at Sandbank. what a fantastic afternoon had by all.
Thanks to the Tropic ambassador, all guests enjoyed the wonderful facials/foot spa and sampling many products. Afternoon tea and home made Elderflower cordial followed supplied by the host.
A big thank you to all who helped and attended.
