Well it's been some time since we made a post.. it's been one busy summer here at Meadow & Moor, and it's been almost two weeks since Pumpkin's new arrival-a baby boy!!

He's grown so much in the last 12 days, see his change from pic 1 to 2.. What a beaut! 🥰 Mum Pumpkin doing well too. Congratulations !! 🦙💙 🦙

Post changeover beers to quench our thirst and celebrate another successful review and lovely feedback from our guests Junaid & Fariah.

If you're staying with us we highly recommend The Combe Cellars, Combeinteignhead for drinks and direct views across the River Teign. The wood fired pizza's are pretty good too 🍕🍻

We are usually a little camera shy but yes we are team Meadow and Moor and it was a family effort tonight after a day at work and school to get our dome ready for a last minute booking. Good effort I say 🙌

Also pretty proud to be keeping a clear run of 5 star reviews on Airbnb.. April 's off to a good start! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The chooks are having a free range whilst I do the changeover today..our guests have been enjoying feeding Margo & Cici and collecting the eggs each day! 🥚🥚

Absolutely scorchio-but at least the outdoor baths provide a cool soak in the day as well as a hot one in the evening if it is ever to get chilly-hard to imagine in the summer we are having right now! 🌞

Why not get away from the crowds by hiring your very own field!

A long small track hedged by ferns & wildflowers leads to the carpark where you will find a couple of wheelbarrows for your luggage. Walk down past our vegetable garden and hen house to find an outdoor field kitchen, fire pit and geodesic dome tent. Unzip the tent door that opens into a geodesic luxury dome!

The dome is self contained with zoned areas spaced around the central wooden pod containing the ensuite bathroom. A dining space with fold out table and chairs. Lounge area with chair beds and drinks trolley, record player with USB port and reading nook and king size bed at the centre.

I didn't think he was going to part from his lunch, but just caught him looking over. We see this little fella and his Shetland buddies on our daily dog walk from home. Not a bad view towards Maidencombe they have either!

Sundown making gorgeous blue peachy hues in the sky. The replacement wind turbine soon to be connected which will provide an extra boost to our battery bank. Its been out of action for far too long so it will be a welcome relief that another job is ticked off the list!

A sprinkling of snow on the new geodome. Work in progress but we are fitting the insulation today. It will be kitted out with wordburner and luxe woollen rugs so this place will be super cosy on a future snowy geodome stay. So exciting, I can't wait to glamp out in it!

Crispy morning here, just hope the sun keeps shining! I love the snow but it brings extra jobs to do like sweeping off the snow from the solar panels and making sure we keep on top of feeding the woodburner so we stay cosy in our little offgrid cabin home! ❄️🏡🌨️

Blowing the cobwebs away today with Pip and the famalam. Dartmoor is one of our favourite places to go when requiring a blast of much needed fresh air!

Followed by a warm up in WM Guitars and browsing the shop windows in Ashburton..so many creative independents 💖 Our fave shop displays today were Alchemy and Gnash Comics.

Living off grid it's always a relief when our logs arrive to see us through the colder months, and this time I had a little helper to move it all to the log store!

"Hygge" ... I think this picture of Custard the cat snoozing in blissful contentment, surrounded by blankets, fairy lights and the log fire flickering sums up hygee.

Hygge Meaning: ' A quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).

As the nights get considerably chillier we all need a bit of Hygge! 🐱 🔥💖

Jungle Safari Bell tent for Jack.. 6 today! And what a scorcher it has been.. even the gorgeous balloons by Jack's mummy . .. & baboons have been melting! I think Jack will sleep well in his garden camp out tonight. 🐒🦒🦧 ⛺

Great weekend to be outdoors.. Cleaning and taking down and the bell tents.. Enjoying our wild camping field and harvesting courgettes that might now be marrows!! No pictures of be weeding tho.. I have a new mountain of freshly pulled nettle and thistle.. a never ending chore!
