Angel Heights is now taking bookings from 16th June 2023.

To answer some of the most common questions we are asked:
We accept bookings for up to 2 people, with one double and one single bedroom.
Prices for 2023 will be calculated at a charge of between £65 and £85 per night, with a fuel supplement payable between October and March. Minimum stay is 3 nights. We offer a small discount for single occupancy and for 7 night stays.
The site itself is quite small (approx 50 vans), family run, and quiet but friendly. Facilities are limited to a laundry room and barbeque area, but a shop, cafe and bar are located in Port William (just 2 miles away), with other facilities at nearby Whithorn and Wigtown.
The quiet, secluded beach is situated just 10 minutes walk from the site (although access is via quite a steep track).
There is a Golf course just about half a mile away - St Medans.
We may accept bookings with one, well-controlled dog - please discuss this at the time of making your enquiry.
We are sorry, but. other than babes in arms, we do not take children under-14, and, due to site regulations, the lead guest must be aged 30 years or older.
Mobile signal in the area can be a bit erratic, but we do offer free wifi access - although the strength of signal can vary.

Prices are being held at 2020 prices, with a low deposit of just £100 - fully refundable or transferable in the event of further government restrictions preventing you from taking your holiday. In light of recent announcements, we are hopeful that we will be able to re-open to guests by the start of May.
We are now starting to accept bookings for arrivals from 1st May onwards, with a reduced deposit of £100, which, of course, will be fully refundable/transferable should restrictions be extended or re-imposed to prevent visitors taking up their booking.
Prices held at last year's levels - please enquire for availability and an exact price.

We hope you and yours are keeping safe and well during these testing times. We hope it will not be too long before we can start to welcome guests again to enjoy the lovely Galloway coast and countryside.
We are thinking seriously about starting to accept bookings for the late Spring onwards, in the hope that the current lockdown combined with the vaccine programme will soon begin to bring the spread of the virus under control and allow some kind of normality to resume. Meanwhile, do take care of one another - and stay safe!

28/06/2020

Just taken our first post-lockdown booking, to arrive 24th July! Delighted at the prospect of welcoming visitors back to our lovely region. Tho' sadly some facilities may not yet be fully open just yet, the countryside, sea and scenery remain as beautiful as ever!

13/07/2019

Due to changing personal circumstances, we will no longer be offering holiday rentals at 'Tide's Reach', as it will shortly become our main family home.

Many thanks to all our lovely guests over the past almost 10 years, and we hope you are not too upset to be unable to book with us again. There are a number of similar properties in the area and we would be happy to put you in touch with other owners if you wish.

12/03/2019

Take away menu from D&G's only dedicated vegetarian/vegan eatery - opening for the season towards the end of March.

Our Story

Having run a self-catering cottage business for some 10 years, we recently moved into the cottage as our permanent home, and have bought a beautiful static caravan at nearby Monreith Sands Holiday Park, where we continue to welcome visitors to this beautiful area.

The caravan is equipped to a very high standard, with gas central heating, and includes a recently installed log burner for added cosiness on a cool evening. The Park is very quiet, with lovely views across Luce Bay to the Mull of Galloway and the Isle of Man - on a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of the Irish Coast. Just outside the main gate, a path leads down to the picturesque beach - even in the height of Summer you can often enjoy this all to yourself! For golfers, the course at St Medans is less than 5 minutes drive away, and enjoys fantastic views in all directions.

The mobile home has a good-sized double bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, opening onto a jack and jill shower room. There is also a small twin bedroom with additional wardrobes - however, we are only accepting bookings from a maximum of 2 people (no children under 16 please). The open plan living area includes a comfortable lounge and well-equipped kitchen.

There is a launderette on site, and the resident wardens are on hand to help with any queries and are always happy to chat! There is no shop or bar on the site, however, nearby Port William has a well-equipped small shop for your basic needs, and a cafe (run by volunteers on behalf of the local lifeboat) overlooking the harbour, which is open for alcoholic drinks in the evenings throughout the season. Other shops and facilities can be found within easy reach in Whithorn, the Isle of Whithorn or Wigtown (Scotland’s National Booktown).
