Too many people to mention but it was very remiss of me to not thank Andrew Bowman for his many years of driving, we were lucky to have the best coach driver in the business 🚍

So here goes. I've just returned from Blackpool after the New Year Break and after 21 and a half years that was the last David Smith Travel tour. After travelling the length and breadth of the UK, Ireland and France, Italy and even Canada retirement beckons. Janet and I have decided after both working for over 50 years it's time to take things a bit easier. I've been asked to help out with a couple of projects for companies and after recharging my batteries I may consider these and if anybody can use my experience then feel free to ask. I'd like to thank everyone who has helped us over the last 21 and a half years to make David Smith Travel the success it became. Most of you will know of my fondness for Blackpool and the many friends I've made there over the years. There are many of you but I must mention John Kay for all his help in 3 hotels he's managed over the time I've known him, Diane Lynn for help with organising my famous Paradise room Christmas parties and Celebration Weekends etc., and the leg end June Martell for the double act. Most of all I'd like to thank the thousands of customers who've travelled with us over the years many becoming personal friends. Hope to keep travelling but now for pleasure only. Lots of love to you all from Janet and I ❤
