Sunday vibes.
Jammy has been a bit poorly recently, but she's on the mend (the reason you maybe haven't seen much of us on here or out and about sharing wee adventures)β€οΈ

Looking across to the Cairngorms, Glen Tromie, The Gaick, Meall Chuaich, and Creag Dhubh under a sky that's half sunshine lighting up the fresh snow, and half misty shafts of rain in the distance. ππ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ Where Stags Roar #Newtonmore #Cairngorms #badenoch
Wee hike up Creag an Loin (547m) early this morning - doesn't take much elevation to get beautiful views back down towards Newtonmore and all around! A gorgeous morning here with more fresh snow on the tops.
Top basin snow at Glencoe Mountain Resort was soooo good!! And the west coast throws in some incredible views, coos and glistening lochs on top too!

Glen Banchor, Newtonmore.
This puppy is like something from those Eveready Battery adverts from the 80's !! ππΎ
We've had Jammy for a month now and she seems much bigger than when we got her; she's robust, boisterous and full of puppy energy and curiosity β€οΈ and she loves her walks!

I'm just putting up the Christmas trees - that'll be five or six over the week once I'm done! Today I'm remembering my dad, who isn't with us anymore, and who loved visiting us here in Newtonmore, and knew more folk in the village than I do, which tells you something about his lovely nature. As a kid dad and I used to always decorate the Christmas tree to his Buddy Holly album, no idea why except he used to like singing and dancing around to it, so it became our Christmas thing β€ every year. Christmas can be bittersweet like that, with most people missing some loved ones. But it's important to live in the present moment, and enjoy every day. So today I turned up the tunes, and if you saw me dancing round the Christmas tree, I've not gone completely mad, I'm just dancing like my dad :) I do this every year, makes me smile.
Merry Christmas everyone π
PS yes, I know for some folks it's a bit early, but we've always found our visitors love it when they come up at this time of year, that it adds a bit of extra magic to a visit to the Highlands, we often get our first snow and it feels coorie and twinkly! Also, there's logistics - I'm off to Yorkshire soon for a visit to see mum, and as I do all of the trees, we'll, that's that - no bah humbug, only good vibes!
Can't beat being woken up by the bagpipes!!

Do you feel like this on a Monday morning?!π
Fab three weeks in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming π We haven't taken a long haul flight in fifteen years (as "Rusty comes too') so a nice change, but good to be heading home now π
