The Elan Valley is a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year, but we love it best in the Autumn. The beautiful colours of the trees, crunching through the leaves and the 70 square miles of dams and reservoirs to explore.

📍 Conwy Castle, North Wales
Just because it’s the weather for sweaters rather than swimming costumes doesn’t mean you should avoid the beach. In fact we think it’s one of the best times to visit!
This is Porthor Beach, also known as Whistling Sands, on the Llyn Peninsula. So called because of the noise the sand makes under your feet. It’s one of only two beaches in Europe where this takes place, so come and experience it for yourself.
