How lovely is this!! 😍❤️ Poor Emma had a small car issue when she got stuck on the bank 🙈 bless her, we've all been there! (literally in Zoes case 🙄😂) but we got her unstuck, drama free, only then to be greeted by 200 sheep coming down the road. Not the start to the day she'd envisaged we're sure 🙈🤣 but Mid Wales is an experience, and as long as you don't take life too seriously and can see the funny side of things, then there really is no other place like it ❤️

Mid Wales is home to some of the rarest species of birds and animals in the UK, these include Ospreys, Red Kites, Otters, Beavers and Dolphins!⁠

Just by looking out of your apartment window you will often see, (and hear) Red Kites and Buzzards flying overhead, and this is the best time of year as you will often see the young really start to spread their wings.⁠

The Dyfi Osprey Project (Machynlleth) has this year finally been able to open it's doors to the new visitor centre at Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve, the project has been 4 years in the making but it is now open! 🥳⁠

Lovely comments like this make all the stresses of the last year; all the battling through the extra cleaning regimes, Covid measures, PPE, signs, hand sanitisers, risk assessments, rules, laws, guidance etc 😵 all worthwhile! 😊

We are so pleased that we have been able to implement all the extra measures, but still make our guests feel welcome, and not like they're holidaying in a nuclear fallout zone! 🙈

Every one of our guests over the last few months have followed the guidance and the rules in Wales (as these do differ to England, Scotland & Northern Ireland) We can't thank our guest enough for their consideration of us, our business and our community ❤ and so pleased to get such lovely reviews 😁

Pistyll Rhaeadr is a stunning waterfall in the Berwyn Mountains, just 34 miles from Penygelli.

At 240ft (80m) high Pistyll Rhaeadr is Britain's tallest single-drop waterfall and falls in three stages over a cliff face into the River Rhaeadr below.

If you're staying with us, why not do a loop - Travel up to Pistyll Rhaeadr have a wander around, stop for a coffee and a cake in the cafe before hopping back in the car and heading over the Lake Vyrnwy where you can spend the afternoon walking, biking, visiting the RSPB nature reserve, or just go for lunch at the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel 😋

20 miles from Penygelli you will find Llyn Clywedog ❤

A man made reservoir formed by the construction of the Clywedog Dam. The lake has a surface area of 615 acres (230 football pitches), and is 216 ft deep at its maximum depth and stretches six miles.⁠
⁠
At its maximum, it is just 500 yards wide. Some 15 miles of new or improved roads were built around the reservoir and a number of viewing points and picnic areas are arranged along the circular drive around the lake enabling visitors to enjoy the panoramic views. Whilst there, why not stop for lunch Caffi Clywedog and have a wander around Hafren Forest. ❤

This is Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth (40mins from us) which hosts a vegetarian cafe, visitor centre and some great walks in the heart of the UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere - and what's great is they're also dog friendly 🐶

Summer is officially here!...and we can confirm the sun is shining in Mid Wales! 💃🕺 ☀

Thanks to all our wonderful guests, and their 4 legged friends for being so lovely over the last few weeks and bearing with us as we get back into the swing of being able to see other human beings again! 😁

We don't know what will happen going forward, but you can be assured that we have all our COVID measures in place to keep everyone safe.

If you are looking to stay, or visit Wales then the Welsh Government advice is to take a COVID rapid flow test before you leave your area 👍 - We get that just before your holiday shoving a cotton bud up your nose is not ideal 🤦‍♀️ but if we can all keep doing our bit, then we can all continue to have a great summer! ❤
