🌟 A Honeymoon Adventure with Belfast Causeway Tours! 🌟

On Monday, February 3rd, we had the pleasure of guiding Hayden & Meaghan, along with their family and friends, on an unforgettable journey through Northern Ireland’s most breathtaking landscapes.

This was no ordinary tour—it was technically their honeymoon! The couple had just tied the knot at the stunning Galgorm Hotel & Spa, and what better way to celebrate than by exploring the wonders of the Antrim Coast?

After picking them up from Galgorm Hotel & Spa, the day was set for adventure. With Brian as their expert driver, they embarked on a journey filled with history, stunning scenery, and unforgettable moments.

The weather wasn’t perfect—cold and windy at times—but the clear skies highlighted the rugged beauty of Northern Ireland. Here’s a look at the incredible sights they visited:

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge 🌉
A thrilling highlight of the day, the group braved the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, suspended 30 meters above the Atlantic Ocean. Those who dared to cross were rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views and an exhilarating sense of adventure.

Ballintoy Harbour 🎣
Next, they explored Ballintoy Harbour, a picture-perfect coastal gem and a filming location for Game of Thrones. With rugged cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and charming stone architecture, it was an ideal stop for stunning photos and quiet reflection.

White Park Bay 🏖️
The group then visited White Park Bay, a pristine stretch of golden sand framed by dramatic cliffs and rolling dunes. A peaceful escape along the coastline, this stop provided a chance to soak in the untouched beauty of Northern Ireland.

Bushmills Distillery 🥃
A visit to the world-famous Bushmills Distillery, the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world, offered the group a taste of Northern Ireland’s rich heritage. They enjoyed a guided tour, learning about the craftsmanship behind Bushmills whiskey, followed by a well-earned tasting session.

Lunch at The Causeway Hotel 🍽️
The group refueled with a delicious meal at the iconic Causeway Hotel, where they raved about the amazing fish & chips, the best tea, and freshly baked scones—a true taste of Northern Irish hospitality!

Dunseverick Castle 🏚️
Next, they explored the ruins of Dunseverick Castle, perched dramatically on the cliffs overlooking the sea. This historic site, once visited by Saint Patrick, provided a fascinating glimpse into Ireland’s ancient past.

The Giant’s Causeway 🌋
The crown jewel of the tour, the Giant’s Causeway, left the group in awe. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural wonder’s hexagonal basalt columns sparked curiosity and admiration, while the myths and legends surrounding it added a magical touch to the experience.

Dunluce Castle 🏯
Perched on the cliffs above the wild North Atlantic, Dunluce Castle was another breathtaking stop. With its dramatic ruins and rich history, it remains one of Northern Ireland’s most photographed landmarks.

The Dark Hedges 🌳
The tour concluded at the Dark Hedges, an enchanting avenue of twisted beech trees made famous by Game of Thrones. This atmospheric location was the perfect end to a day filled with history, nature, and adventure.

We are delighted that Hayden & Meaghan had such a fantastic time celebrating their honeymoon with us!

*Storm Eowyn Hits Northern Ireland*

Today has been a devastating day as Storm Eowyn brought extreme weather to Northern Ireland, with the entire country placed under a rare red weather warning. Winds reached over 100 mph, and tragically, another four of the iconic Dark Hedges beech trees have been lost.

These incredible trees were over 300 years old, and seeing them destroyed by nature’s sheer force is heartbreaking.

We don’t know how many more will survive in the coming days, weeks, or years, but if you’ve ever wanted to experience the beauty of this historic site, now is the time. Sadly, it may not be here for much longer.

📍 Belfast Causeway Tours – Sunday, 29th December 2024

What an incredible day we had showing Ashley McFaul-Erwin and her family and friends the stunning beauty of the North Antrim Coastline. With our skilled drivers, Paul and Geoff, leading the way, the group explored some of Northern Ireland’s most iconic landmarks.

This 800-year-old Norman fortress set the tone for the day, offering a rich blend of history and stunning views of Belfast Lough.

A fascinating glimpse into the ancestral home of Andrew Jackson, the 7th President of the United States, and a tribute to the Ulster-American connection.

3. The Glens of Antrim

4. The Dark Hedges

6. Ballintoy Harbour
A picturesque stop where the family soaked in the coastal charm and serenity of this harbour, another Game of Thrones filming location.

7. White Park Bay
The sweeping views of this golden beach and its untouched beauty left everyone in awe.

8. Dunseverick Castle
The ruins of this ancient fortress perched dramatically on the cliff edge were a reminder of Northern Ireland’s storied past.

9. The Giant’s Causeway
The highlight of the day! This UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its unique basalt columns, gave the group a chance to walk in the footsteps of giants.

23/12/2024

Ah, Northern Ireland! The land of myths, legends, and a thousand pubs where everyone knows your name—or at least pretends to after a pint or two. But let's be honest, navigating the scenic routes and historic landmarks of this enigmatic region can be as confusing as assembling IKEA furniture while blindfolded. That's where the magic of a private tour with a professional touring company comes into play.

Picture this: You're standing at the Giant's Causeway, staring at the interlocking basalt columns, and wondering if nature was having a geometry fe**sh when it created this marvel. Your tour guide, a local with a PhD in Irish folklore and a minor in dad jokes, explains the legend of Finn McCool in a way that even Wikipedia would envy. You're not just a tourist; you're an explorer in a land where every stone has a story.

Now, let's get down to brass tacks. Why should you opt for a private tour? First off, customization. You're not stuck with a one-size-fits-all itinerary that includes a whistle-stop tour of every gift shop within a 50-mile radius. Want to skip the Titanic Museum and head straight for the whiskey distilleries? No problem. Fancy a detour to a secluded beach where the only footprints are yours? Consider it done.

But wait, there's more! A private tour is like having a backstage pass to Northern Ireland. You get to see the hidden gems that aren't in the guidebooks, the secret spots that locals guard like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. And speaking of rainbows, let's talk weather. Northern Ireland's climate is as unpredictable as a cat on a hot tin roof. But fear not, your trusty guide comes equipped with Plan Bs, Cs, and even Ds to ensure that rain doesn't put a damper on your parade.

Money talks, and I hear you asking, "What's the damage?" Well, let's put it this way: A private tour is an investment in memories. Sure, you could save a few bucks by joining a group tour, but you'll spend half the day elbowing your way through crowds and straining to hear the guide over the cacophony of selfie clicks. A private tour offers you the luxury of time and space, two commodities that are priceless in our fast-paced world.

Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room: driving. The roads in Northern Ireland are narrower than a supermodel's waistline and windier than a politician's speech. Do you really want to navigate those hairpin turns while trying to remember which side of the road to drive on? I didn't think so. A private tour comes with a chauffeur who knows the roads like the back of his hand and can handle a stick shift like a Formula 1 driver.

In conclusion, a private tour of Northern Ireland is not just a trip; it's an experience. It's the difference between watching a movie and being part of the script. It's the freedom to explore, to discover, and to immerse yourself in a culture that's as rich as a pint of Guinness and as complex as a James Joyce novel. So go ahead, take the road less traveled, but take it with a guide who can turn the journey into a destination. Cheers!
