Award winning golf course at Cloughey County Down

⛳️Did you know that the first game of golf played in Northern Ireland most likely took place in Newtownards?
⛳️Tourism NI have joined forces with Northern Ireland Screen’s Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund to spotlight the historical and cultural ties between the region and the origins of golf in Northern Ireland.
⛳️The new series, consisting of six short videos, offers touring golfers a guide to Northern Ireland’s most scenic and prestigious courses alongside local attractions and accommodations, many of which have strong Ulster-Scots connections.
Each video covers a different region – Heart of Down, The West, Londonderry, Belfast, the Causeway Coast, and the Ards Peninsula.
