By special arrangement, we can organise for the whole house to be rented for up to 20 guests, to enjoy the unique atmosphere and magical surroundings. The owner, Desmond, star of the BBC’s Normal for Norfolk, is a wonderful character and is happy to provide guided tours of the estate and surrounding area. A few hours spent with him is an experience not to be missed!

At Norfolk Pheasant, we work very closely with incredible local producers to ensure that our guests get the very best produce that Norfolk has to offer. Food and drink are at the heart of so many of our stays and experiences so it's really important to us that we're giving our guests an authentic taste of Norfolk. It's one of the things that makes the Norfolk Pheasant experience so special.

Paula's current read this World Book Day: 'Lady in Waiting' by Anne Glenconner. This is a fascinating story of Anne's relationship with Princess Margaret as her lady-in-waiting and a biography with deep roots in Norfolk - Lady Anne's childhood home was which is just half an hour from Sandringham.

The pair met when they were just 2 or 3 years old and their friendship lasted a lifetime. An intriguing insight into Norfolk's royal history. 😃

Today is World Wildlife Day.

This is one breed that's a firm favourite of ours, despite not being a native breed to these shores. Having been common here since the 15th Century, we think this proud looking pheasant has a pretty good right to citizenship now.

Norfolk Pheasant is the brainchild of Paula Martin, who launched the business in late 2019 after moving to Norfolk four years earlier. Paula, and her partner Ian, fell in love with this beautiful corner of England, and uprooted their lives from East London, to the Norfolk countryside.

With more than 25 years’ in international sales, marketing and travel publishing, Paula decided to launch Norfolk Pheasant, a bespoke event and travel concierge company, to give others the chance to unlock the secrets of the county.
