The Secret Cabin is a gorgeous little retreat for two nestled behind the woods at Seacliff, near North Berwick, within walking distance to the beach.

It's ideal for a getaway-from-it-all break to recharge the batteries.

Recommendation!
We had a fantastic trip out from Dunbar Harbour around the Bass Rock and Craigleith with yesterday. It's so special to see the gannets up close. We spotted a lot of turf wars over nesting sites!
Craigleith is home to puffins but they're a lot harder to photograph with a phone!
If you're looking for a smaller or private charter then Blue Wild is definitely worth looking up

What's your favourite brew?

I think I've pretty much covered all bases at the Secret Cabin, so if guests fancy a warming drink, maybe after a dip in the sea, there's plenty of choice.

Hello! 👋

I thought the start of a new year would be a good opportunity to introduce myself to any new Cabin followers and say a huge thank you to everyone who has followed, stayed or booked to stay at the Cabin!

I'm Lorna and the Secret Cabin is my fourth child! I opened the Cabin back in 2019 and I still get super excited every time my phone pings with a new booking. I'm very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Scotland and love to be able to share that with guests who come to stay.

I genuinely love taking photos of the beautiful surroundings and posting them here but sometimes I do get a bit stuck so if there's anything you'd like to know or I might be missing please comment below and hit me up with some inspiration!! 👇

Some new reads heading into the mini library today!

I loved Obsessed by My friends used to live in the Braids, and I in Marchmont, so I could totally picture where the story took place. It's such a page turner.

I've just finished The Dog of the North by which I also really enjoyed. My husband must have wondered what I was reading because I kept laughing out loud!

Incoming aurora spam!! The skies were lit up again tonight and it was so beautiful. Brighter on a phone but still bright enough to see by eye. I even saw a shooting star!! Amazing 🌌
