Hello everyone,

Despite the forecast predicting another weekend of unfavorable British weather, we decided to give it a try on Sunday with hopes of an improvement. It didn't take long before our efforts were rewarded as the lads started catching Cod and Ling. Then, Davy excitedly called for the net as he had hooked a substantial fish. To our delight, it turned out to be a magnificent 34-pound catch. Congratulations to everyone!

Despite the contrasting weather conditions this past weekend—summer on Saturday and winter on Sunday—our fishing expedition was not significantly impacted. We successfully caught a variety of cod and ling, including a ling weighing 12 pounds and a cod caught by young Will that reached double figures.

The bank holiday was as usual, with lots of wind that hindered fishing. Monday was the best day, and we made the most of it. The lads caught some nice-sized cod, ling, and a few po***ck. Several of the ling were double figures, but Dale caught the best ling of the day, weighing 23 pounds.

Hi all,

Just an update from the weekend's fishing. 🎣

Despite the strong winds, we still managed to pull out some nice-sized cod and ling, with several in double figures. The biggest was Mark's cod, just shy of 14 lb, and the ling were in the 12 to 13 lb bracket. We also caught some nice po***ck. 🐟

Today's pelagic trip was a success. After waiting for a few hours, a pod of dolphins approached us from the east and rode our wake for approximately 45 minutes before heading south. As we turned to return to port, they swiftly returned to ride our stern wakes, providing a remarkable experience. Here is a small video

The weather was ideal for our fishing expedition, with calm seas and bright sunshine 17/07/24 We began by catching fresh mackerel to use as bait, and then proceeded to explore the depths in search of our target species.

Our efforts were rewarded with a bountiful catch of sizable ling and cod, which were expertly brought aboard our vessel.

Good evening everyone, I would like to share a brief report from the weekend of 06/07/24.

We began our trip by successfully acquiring some fresh bait. With our bait secured, we proceeded to our designated fishing spots.

We were fortunate to catch some sizable Ling, Cod, Po***ck, and Davy even managed to catch a lovely sized Haddock. Both days of our trip were quite successful, although the weather on Saturday took a turn for the worse with the arrival of strong northerly winds.

We had an exceptionally unique pelagic excursion last night. We were fortunate to have the presence of approximately three to four Minke Whales surrounding the vessel for approximately forty-five minutes, which made the experience particularly memorable for our spotters. We would like to express our gratitude to Northern Experience Wildlife Tours Ltd and North East Cetacean Project for their excellent contributions to this trip. The photographs were graciously provided by NECP, and I have included my own brief video in the comments section for your reference.

We went out on the 20th of June 2024 and found the seas were calm. So we went to some spots to see what was hiding on the bottom. We weren't disappointed! The guys caught some really nice Cod and Ling. Several of them were over 10 pounds. Keith caught the biggest one, a 15-pounder. We also caught plenty of other Cod and Po***ck. Today was a bit more challenging, but we still caught some nice fish.
