🚑 This morning, I hosted an important meeting to address the pressing issue of ambulance handover times at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, where I met with the interim Chief Executive Nick Hulme.

⏱️ Every second counts when it comes to saving lives and I’m committed to improving hand over and ambulance response times for constituents.

👍 So I was pleased to hear that improvements are being made on this in certain areas, and that it is predicted that the next set of statistics will be even more positive.

🏥 It was also great to hear that virtual wards are doing well. We have 72 beds in the county that are allowing people to stay comfortably in their own homes, while also receiving the support they need. This enormously helps with through put in the hospital and thus handovers. But the numbers of care beds is also improving.

💪 I made another big push on how we can use Cromer Hospital more, where we could offer more services and for instance support for dementia care or for those who may have had a stroke. I am pleased to hear this is high on the agenda as I continue to promote Cromer more.
