For our first post of the new year we wish everyone a happy & successful 2025. We'd also like to share the announcement of the date for this year's Record Store Day which is going to happen on Saturday 12th April. Spunout, along with thousands of independent record shops across the world, will be celebrating the unique culture of the high street record store with live bands, DJ sets & hundreds of the limited edition vinyl, cd & cassette releases that come out for the day. Happy Christmas & a brilliant new Year to all our amazing customers & friends. Today is Record Store Day Black Friday, we will be opening at 10.30am for everyone wanting to check out the limited edition vinyl, cd's & cassettes. Just one more day until this years Black Friday Record Store Day. We'll be opening at 10.30am Friday 29th November to celebrate the uniqueness of independent record shops, we hope you can join us for the great browsing experience our large collection provides & to check out the amazing exclusive releases bought out specifically for this day. With previously unreleased vinyl from such artists as U2, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish & The Beatles for example (& even Spongebob The Movie album) we've a stack of intriguing albums to consider, especially as the ideal Christmas present for the vinyl collector who has everything!

Friday 29th November is Record Store Day’s Black Friday event which Spunout will be participating in, opening at 10.30am. There will be a large spread of limited edition vinyl & cd’s released purely for that day from artists such as The Beatles, Olivia Rodrigo, Rage Against The Machine & Jungle plus masses more, many of which haven’t been released before. There are so many titles there’s bound to be something of interest for any music lover, please have a check on what’s available on the Record Store Day UK website.

Just a day to go until National Album Day 2024 & we hope that you've managed to earmark some time on Saturday to taking in some musical artists creative masterpieces cover to cover. As many albums are fantastic whole statements of intent they benefit from being listened to as intended, track by track, preferably taking in the artwork for added vibes. If you get a moment we've a great stack of limited edition vinyl from selected British bands that has been released especially for the day to provide further choice of top albums to check out, some of which have never been out before on vinyl. We will be playing some of our favourites in their entirity at Spunout & hope you can pop in.

Coming up next month on Saturday 19th October is National Album Day, inspiring us to take a look at the humble Lp as the complete artistic package that many musicians design their albums to be. This years theme is Great British Groups aided by the release of a top selection of limited edition classic albums from artists from the 60s onwards, such as The Rolling Stones, The Specials, All Saints, Judas Priest along with many more. We've had an immense Record Store Day 2024 & are so grateful for the massive support that everyone has shown today in making this a wonderful event. Big thanks to all who've visited today & to the bands & DJ's whose performances have added an extra layer of exhilaration!
