As a pre birthday trip, I travelled to the ciry of Faro for 3 nights with my amazing friend .
We wandered the streets taking in the beautiful buildings, cobbled streets and of course trying all of the food ๐
Faro is nestled on the south coast of Portugal and is home to an incredible national park - Ria Formosa, which we walked around and were lucky enough to see flamingos as well as some other species of bird, all of which are protected by the national park's effort to conserve the habitat and protect them ๐
We spent our time staying in Hotel Faro and Beach club , which overlooks the marina and is in the best place to explore the local bars and eateries๐ฅฐ.
Also, we happened to arrive on a Sunday and got to explore the Sunday markets, which I would highly recommend if you wish to visit Faro yourself.๐
As a vegan, there were always a few options on most menus suitable, and alsousually an entire veggie section which I thought was lovely. Faro is a popular place for various fish, being on the coast, and it is meant to be quite yum (if that is what you eat). ๐
Overall, I would say 3 nights is a great length to stay here, if you hav elonger, I would also recommend exploring the coast on the Algarve as it is a beautiful area.
If you would like to explore Faro or Portugal for yourself, let me know and I would be more than happy to help put something together for you ๐
