This week’s Feedback Friday comes from Virginia, who has recently returned from her Headwater holiday in Japan – Walking the Shikoku Pilgrimage Trail.

“I had a great time doing the pilgrimage. I've met some lovely people. All the accommodation was very nice, I especially enjoyed staying at the Dogo go Tokiwaso in Dogo Onsen Matsuyama. The Ryokan accommodation was excellent, with it’s onsen attached was superb.”

“Our first day was spent walking through orange groves, olive trees and discovering how cork is harvested. We stayed in delightful villages and small towns and ate in some great restaurants. An undoubted highlight was spotting over 20 huge nests of the White Stork”.

The Fishermen's Trail, used by the locals to access the beaches and fishing grounds, is a single track along the cliffs and is an exclusive pedestrian trail.

As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, our colleagues Dan, Luke, Will, and Paul braved the elements and planted nearly 500 trees! 🌳🌧️

They were proud to support the LIFE Dee River Project, an initiative focused on restoring the River Dee and its surroundings to their natural state. This vital work helps to:

✅ Remove obstacles for fish migration
✅ Conserve the critically endangered freshwater pearl mussel
✅ Improve agricultural and forestry land management

Paul summed up the day perfectly: "Despite the weather, it was a great day with great cake— and it was really interesting to learn about the LIFE project!" 🍰
