Welcome to the Leeming Flyer, a narrowboat owned by RAF Leeming that is available for rental at Bartington Wharf, Cheshire. Our boat is moored on the Cheshire Ring, which offers stunning views and charming pubs along the way. This trip is a manageable five hours per day and takes you through various canals and countryside. Our boat is brand new and in excellent condition, offering a comfortable 6-

berth set-up with 1 double bed and 2 double sofa beds in the dining room area, complete with bedding. The bathroom has a spacious and hot shower, while the fully functioning kitchen includes an oven/grill, gas hob, microwave, and kettle, with all the essentials on board. The living room area is spacious and comfortable, with a television with freeview for entertainment. Whether you're an experienced boater or a first-timer, we provide full training upon arrival, and our marina staff are always ready to assist. We are a not-for-profit rental service, and our aim is to provide an affordable and enjoyable opportunity for forces personnel, their friends, and family to relax onboard this lovely boat. Explore the historic city of Chester, visit the boat museum at Ellesmere Port, and take in the breathtaking views of the Cheshire countryside.

Our Story

The Leeming Flyer is a 67ft narrow boat owned by RAF Leeming. It is moored at the Acton Bridge Marina in Bartington, Cheshire. The boat is on the Bridgewater Canal which hosts some amazing views (and pubs!) along the way. There are multiple routes you can choose, including the Cheshire Ring, Four Counties Ring, or head into Chester or Wigan. These routes all vary in distance depending on how many days you are away, how many hours a day you want to be on the move and the number of locks you want to traverse. No matter the weather, a good time is guaranteed. The boat offers up to a 6 berth set up, comprising of 1 double bed and 2 double sofa bed. All bedding is supplied. There is a fitted bathroom, including a shower and a fully functioning kitchen area with oven/grill, gas hob, microwave and kettle. All of the kitchen essentials are on board so all you need is your groceries! There is a spacious and comfortable living room area to relax, complete with a television with Free-view. If you're an experienced boater, or have never been behind the wheel before, full training is given on arrival and the marina staff are more than happy to help. This is a not for profit rental. We just want to give forces personnel and their friends/family an affordable and enjoyable opportunity to relax on-board this lovely boat.
